Thought you knew a lot about the deep ocean? Think again. Every day, we’re venturing deeper and deeper into the watery abyss that covers our earth and each time, we stumble across something previously unseen. Deep sea creatures are unlike anything else on this planet and when these oil workers took a trip to the ocean, they couldn’t believe what they found.
BP workers on an oil rig in the Atlantic were going about their normal business when suddenly, they spotted something strange. Underwater divers captured the movements of a deep sea creature on camera and when they watched it back, they couldn’t believe the images.
At First, It Seemed Like A Normal Jellyfish
The jelly-like creature at first seemed to resemble a normal jellyfish, but when they looked closer, it was clear that the animal was much different. Sporting multiple legs and feelers, the monster resembled a ball of spaghetti moving through the water.
Unsure of what the uncovered, the divers sent the images to a research center in the UK, hoping to gain more information on the creature. As far as they were aware, this was the first type of “spaghetti monster” which had been found.
Pastafarians, rejoice!
