They did it they did what we wanted , people thought that the fight will have 90% flashback and 10% fighting well think again its not like this at all , the 2 episodes covered 5 chapters!!!

The added fights are astonishing and amazing they even made sasuke use bansho tenin , annnd Kirin!!! Who would have expected!!!!!

Sasuke's ost was on point , and also they revived a part 1 battle Ost in ep 477!!!!! Just ughhhhhh epic epic epic!!!!!

Idk why people complain so much about fillers now that everything is out you can just skip them, and Pain vs Naruto wasn't perfect but it was pretty damn good once you get past opening scene

You do realise that if it weren't for fillers that really contributed to nothing more than just getting SP more money in the long run since the series was already finished we would've had this fight a loooong time ago, no?

That is a massive maybe seeing as the team that made this battle had already been put together. I am almost sure that those are the same guys that did this.

There is literally no valid excuse for holding the anime down on fillers for two years after its source material had ended other than money. Literally none.

And the image you picked from Pain fight is a still from an anime where they were trying to show fast speed in a fluid motion. That's not bad animation but an art style. Nice that it left a lasting impression on you.

Don't know what the Zoro one is about, since the style is not messed up, it just seems like a regular animation error, but...well, whatever.

Regardless. I get what they were trying to do. It was a ballsy move, going for that art style. Fact remains though, much like when Dragon Ball Super tried it years later with the Goku and Beerus fight, it did not work.

You want an example of that style of animation done right just look at the Madara vs SA Alliance fight.

They have schedules they probably utilized fillers to line up that episode's production with certain people. It all has to do with scheduling and money they can't just pay the best animation directors to be hostages for the entire run so they're at hand when they want an epic episode.

They are two different paragraphs. The fluid motion bit was applicable to the anime episodes' still shots you took from Naruto anime. On the other hand the images I posted later on were simple examples of similar bad art and not related with the earlier paragraph.

They especially hired someone to work on those episodes so aparantly they expected him to give better results. The idea was to give the whole action a flow and dynamism that a grand scale battle would have, though it didn't work out for everyone. That artist was more interested in "animation" part of it and from that POV it was not bad even if the fight was OTT.

Now average anime watchers usually don't care about that " animation" part- e.g. some top popular animes have more stills with only air blowing the hair or hanging mouth than actual action in the whole episodes. But as long as everyone is in the same style they are used to watch they are fine with it.

To be fair the pain fight had really good animation until naruto went kyuubi and then went back to normal after he returned to his human form
