Hey everyone, this is my first thread, and I'm going to be sharing my final film treatment with you, I appreciate feedback because this Fan base is relatively full of intellectual people and after reading some other post I thought I'd share this with you all and see how you like it. I hope to make this my final film for the semester and if I do I will defiantly show you guys the video, this is my first draft and I haven't gotten much feedback on it. And for those who don't know how a film treatment is suppose to be it can't have any dialogue in it, but the screenplay can, if all goes well I'll post that after this but first I just want to share this rawness with you chaps. SOULLESS
Logline- After a Desperate Call from a possible Client, Matthew Clinton a Paranormal Detective Investigates a Poltergeist but finds more then he can handle.
Matthews Home 12.00pm.MATTHEW CLINTON (25) Is in some recent work on his laptop. Going threw audio files listening for voices. The phone rings and he calms the caller down.He writes down an address and assures the caller he will check it out. The call gets him excited and he grabs his gear and leaves his home.
Haunted House 6.00pm. The residence have abandoned their home and it is empty for his investigation. But he feels that he is not alone. Chairs are knocked over and shelves are opened. He picks up a strange doll and a shadow figure watches him threw out the house. He does some voice readings and gets a response from a ghost telling him to leave, then a frighting roar cuts it off and Matthew is knock over. For a second he see's a floating head of a creepy ghost with just a pair of empty eyes. Frightened he he closes his eyes and when he opens them the figure is gone. Creeped out he gathers his equipment and returns home but he isn't alone. He is still being stalked.
Matthews House 8:30pm Strange things begin to occur in his house as he goes over his findings from the house he sees the ghost in some pictures and he encounters the being again in his own home. He is terrified and begins to research what the being might be. His sources tell him that it is a Doppelganger. It is hunting for his vessel now because he looked at it in the face. It will do whatever it can to get him to sleep. It will wait and when he sleeps it will enter his Dreams. But these are not ordinary dreams, The being invades the brain and is feeds off your energies. Your emotions and memories absorbing everything that is you. And it will hunt for you. It will try and make you scream, or make you cry. If it catches you making any emotion at all it will have completely taken over your body and Then your soul will be cast out. The only way to Defeat it is to show no emotions and Beat it when ever you can. Your Dreams will be very Lucid because your body is reacting to the invasion. Meaning you have an arsenal of tools at your side to fight back and find the heart of the beast, the mask and destroy it. Matthew is frighten but determined to live. He tries his best to stay awake and in his time he thinks about what might happen when he falls asleep and how he will fight the creature. Soon his eyes close shut and he falls asleep.
Dead Forest Midnight. His dream is strange, everything looks animated. And he finds himself in a large woods. Its Dark but the full moon lights it enough for him to see. He starts to walk down the path. In the distance he sees a large tower with a glowing top. It changes colors and flashes lights. He starts to run down the path And suddenly he hears a howl. Followed by another, and another. His heart starts beating faster and he remembers that its a lucid Dream. He starts to Fly upwards as Three werewolves rush towards him from the woods. He gains some altitude before A thunderstorm starts to brew above him. Lightning strikes near him and he barely dodges. It seems to be targeting him and he returns to a lower altitude the werewolves still following him below. He lowers himself to the ground and Turns to the rushing beast behind him gaining closer reaching out with there sharp claws. Matthew put his hands together and shoots a fireball exploding the closest one setting the others ablaze as they Run into the woods setting the dead forest on fire. Matthew Rises out of the flames the storm cloud now pouring down gallons of water. He is taken down by the weight of it and plummets into a river and soon into an ocean.
Deep Ocean Depths Night. He makes himself some gills and begins to swim upward. Out of the abyss below him a tentacled beast reaches out to grab him. He can't see what it looks like but the massive tentacles tower around him trying to grasp him in their suckers. He forms his Right arm into a fully automatic harpoon launcher and Starts tearing into the Tentacles. The massive thing below him reaches up and shows it's hideous features. Like a mutated angler shark, octopus. It Has rows of serrated teeth and a Huge mouth with Whiskers around its face and giant Blind Eyes.Matthew Turns his harpoon launcher into a mini torpedo launcher. He shoots a volley of them and whistles for his ride. A super fast white dolphin races out of nowhere and picks up Matthew as the Volley of mini torpedos explodes below them. The Dolphin launches Matthew up out of the water into the sky. It says its good byes in dolphin and swims away. Matthew again turning, flying to the tower. It was a distance aways and past the oceans he came into a valley of towering spires of rock.
Mountain Range dawn. A strange Mountain formation is ahead of him. As he flies by he notices some of the spires have holes in them. Soon he sees more and more of them and then a flood of Dragons began to pour out of the mountain side. Matthew covers him self in a Exo suit and begins to sour into the atmosphere. The Dragons right on his Heels shooting a barrage of fireballs and magma streams behind him. He turns on the offensive and shoots a volley of missiles from his shoulder mounted cannons and then he opens fire with his laser cannon. A steady stream cuts threw dozens at a time but they seem endless. Matthew begins to soar down to the range again and notices they are constantly pouring out of the hole. He shoots them with his cannon and collapses the nests. He turns to horde following him and Transforms his Exo suit 10x as big and launches a Giant metal Fist into The horde. It then erupts in a massive explosion. Matthew Mops up the Rest of them with his cannons. Only Dust Remains and Matthew exits the Suit. He looks to the tower again and feels a pain in his chest. The lights are getting Violent and he coughs up blood. He Begins to Fly even Faster and Reaches the tower.
Dark Spire Dawn. In the center is an aura of lights passing threw a mask. All of his memories and emotions. He runs to it and A person appears in front of his path that makes him pause. It's A women. She is staring at him it takes all of Matthews strength not to show his emotions, it is his deceased girlfriend staring right at him. It gets closer and try to touch him. He knocks her hand away and Tries to push past her. She pushes him back and transforms its face into a hideous one. Still Matthew shows no sigh of fear. He points his Finger at the Doppelganger, A stream of light passes threw its head and it falls over. Matthew runs foreword and Smashes the mask and Suddenly the lights stop and everything begins to implode. A black hole is sucking everything that was the Creature out of Matthews body. It closes and A flash of light consumes him.
Mathews Bedroom Mourning. He wakes up and everything is back to normal. He feels his face and every things looks the way it should. He goes onto his laptop and opens his investigation files on the Doppelganger. He closes them and Deletes the files. He is very sweaty from the intense dream and goes into the shower. The Doppelganger moves threw the hallway towards the front door. It looks back to Matthew one more time with those soulless eyes and leaves.
