so far i watched 5 episodes and i pretty liked it but black star is a bit annoying

Yes I have watched the anime and it was awesome. It's very funny and it will keep you entertained throughout the whole series, and I think it is worth watching so you might want to check it out when you can. Also, if you end up liking Soul Eater you should check out D Grayman as well. It's almost like Soul Eater in a way. Very funny and very entertaining as well.
