Soul Eater...Not?

So I just randomly found a new series called Soul Eater Not, I read the first chapter and Im still kinda confused..
What da fuq is goin on..?
Is it written by the same person?
is it any good?

It's good, I found it not too long ago. It takes place before the main events of Soul Eater and it seems to be some kinda shoujo style thing from what I've read so far... despite that, it's still quite a good read

It has a different artist but the anime's already started so I'm assuming it's canon.

Soul Eater is my favorite manga. I hope eventually it gets another shot in anime. I like that the Soul Eater property is doing things, but the spin off prequel, Soul Eater Not, is something I'm not a fan of. Just not into the japanese girl humor.

Right on. That makes sense.
Cuz I was reading and Sid was a teacher but he wasnt a zombie, and Maka, Blackstar, and Medusa were there.. So I was genuinely confused.
So should I read it?

If you like shoujo comedy-type mangas, I suggest it. Otherwise, I'd say no.
