Hello, got lost on the path of life... But that's a terrible excuse, so eh.

Welcome to Puppetry training. First things first: will you be making your replies in character?

Ok. So just a couple of things to go over; like an icebreaker of sorts. What got you interested in the RP? Also, I assume you like Sasori a lot. What about him (or puppetry) do you find interesting?

What got me interested in rp?
"Well I guess I just like to how could you say "Rein act " events from a story line with other people.
What interested me in them is that they are all works of art, things to last for ages and their beauty to always be acknowledged.
And I'm free to collect and admire that beauty.

Alright, nice answer :)

The RP relies a lot on description and writing skills, something you can develop by reading fights and events! Practice makes perfect.

Puppetry is a beautiful art and way of fighting that I believe is severely underestimated. It can easily overwhelm opponents, and since you have a Sasori bio, you can use poison weapons in your fights, making them very effective against unguarded ninjas.

The absolutely fundamental technique that governs all puppetry techniques is the formation of chakra threads.

(Kugutsu No Jutsu) - Puppetry Technique
Rank: D
Type: Attack/Defense/Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10(-4 each turn its used after wards)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes threads of chakra that are used to control puppets.
To your understanding, how do you think Sasori forms his chakra threads? Use your manga knowledge and try it out for yourself.

To my belief, Sasori along with most other Puppet Users focus their control of chakra to form a thread capable of allowing the user to control whatever it is attached to.

And with the Special Case of Sasori, since he does not possess a Human body he was capable of wielding more Chakra threads through his chest compartment, As seem with his "100 puppets jutsu"
You must be registered for see images

"By Generating and focusing his chakra to his finger tips, through precise Chakra Control he was able to form a concentrated or potent thread of chakra,"

Many Puppet Users (Including Sasori Himself) Possess the ability to Suppress chakra threads in order for a Sneak attack ect.

He then created a current of chakra through his fingers tips, and attached it to a near by pebble and lifted it into the air, and it appeared as if it was levitating."

But in fact if you looked to what the rock was connected to, you could see chakra bulging from the threads connected to the rock.

In some cases the user can also dull his/her finger movements and still fully control the puppet at hand, though they cannot hide it completely or 100%.

He then held back some of the chakra flowing into the threads in order to dull the vision of the thread from the normal eye, even though it could still be seen from an adept or experienced eye."

Good, good. In the RP, it's also seen as a form of shape manipulation of chakra.

I want you attach chakra strings to each of these puppets: Crow, Black Ant, and Salamander. Yes, these are Kankuro's puppets, but the RP is a lot more flexible. Try moving them around (you can be in character for this one), focusing on your description of hand movements and how the puppet responds to your strings.

Please also provide me an image of each puppet and let me know what you know about each of them. You can look at their descriptions for a reference.

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Crow is the very first puppet we see in the series. It was created by Sasori, but is later used by Kankurou. Crow is a three eyed, four armed humanoid. Crow is one of the more basic puppets, but he is able to detach any of its body parts for deadly attacks, almost every joint having a blade at the end, allowing Crow to shoot his arms towards the opponent, and then have them return back to it. Even his head has a blade that can be extended out from the bottom of its neck when detached. This ability made it and Black Ant a very deadly combination. It also has the ability, like most puppets do, to release poison-tipped darts and smokescreens, which sometimes have poisonous gas mixed with them.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Black Ant, created by Sasori, is a puppet that is often used in conjunction with Crow and, later on, Salamander. It has a bucket-shaped face with two red horns and a total of six arms. It, like Crow, has three eyes. Its body resembles a very large barrel, and it is hollow on the inside, making its main use to be that of trapping, while weapons enter the many slots on its body. At any time, Black Ant can literally open its stomach, and trap an opponent, able to extend the two halves of its stomach so that it stretches out and over the opponent from a very fair distance (approximately mid range) and then retracts the stomach back to its original form, closing it with the opponent inside. Its arm segments contain hidden saw-blades. Like Crow, Black Ant can detach its arms for attacks.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Salamander is a defensive puppet, though not on the level of defense as that of Hiruko. Salamander, as its name suggests, is built in the form of a large salamander, being one of the largest puppets seen thus far, and though it is not more powerful defensively than Hiruko, it is larger than the other puppet. Salamander is able to rise up a large area on its back to be used as a shield, making a black shield over its head. It, like some other puppets, is hollow, and it can open its back at any time and then rise up its large tail over its head, stretching it out and therefore allowing the puppet user to jump inside of it for protection. Salamander can also spew out fire equal to C rank. Salamander can only be destroyed by one who knows its weak spots, being a weak joint on its side that holds the shield in place and afterwards simply striking it on its back, or by a move of A rank or higher.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user

Karasu (Crow)
Crow Possesses a trio of eyes along side two sets of humanoid arms with irregular and rough teeth. And he has artificial dark brown hair rising from his head. Poisonous Kunai and senbon are in just about every one of it's joints making it easy to unleash many sneak attacks on the opponent. Also as you can see in the first image, crow has capsules of poison gas or a smokescreen in it's arms and is capable of unleashing them through it's palms. There are also many weapons hidden inside it's waist. Crow also has a hidden wrist compartment capable of firing poisonous senbon at the enemy. Inside of crow's mouth also lays a large senbon. Along with many other abilities it can also dislocate parts of it's body. Crow also appeared to have the ability to use a recording device at one point.
(Really likes the below image)

Kuroari

Black Ant possesses a bucket shaped face sporting two red horns and six arms. It has a trio of eyes and it's overall appearances gives the look of a bucket. Black Ant was not built for attacking, but instead for capturing it's opponents which is why it does have as many weapons as Crow. This puppet also has the ability to detach parts of its body. Black Ant does well in a duo with itself and Crow together. It possesses the ability to trap enemies in its stomach where there it can then execute the opponent with a variety of special moves. Needles launchers in it's arms and scythes in its waist along with knives in most of the puppets joints.

Sanshouo (Salamander)

This puppet mainly looks like a salamander. Salamander is mainly known for it's defensive structures. Salamander possesses a shield which is capable of rising up and making a large black shield over its head. Its a shallow puppet as it can easily open up its back at any time and place a large tail over its head. The puppet user is also able to jump inside of the puppet for protection. It has also shown the power to unleash streams of fire. This puppet also has a weak point on its side which when hit breaks down the puppets defenses.

"It's been awhile since I last saw these creations of mine as he looked forward at the three: Salamander, Crow, and Blank Ant." I know all the ins and outs of these puppets he then gave off a small smirk.

By generating and focusing his chakra to his finger tips, they began to give off a blue aurora which proved that he had concentrated enough chakra through his finger tips.

Now that each of his fingers has chakra running through them he then attached One concentrated thread
of chakra from his left to the head of the Crow puppet which was on his left side.

Next, he he placed his Five threads on his left hand to the puppet salamander which was also on his right side.

Now he only had four more fingers singers to use. He placed two threads on to the left side of the black ant puppet and another on the right side.

Then, Simultaneously used the puppets, by first flicking up the finger he had on Crow's head, the puppets head then flipped off and hovered in the air. He then moved his finger in a backwards position and then catapulted his finger forward, and when he did the puppet launched itself forward into the distance, until it retracted back. Next, with crow he then sent his finger into a spiral rotation movement which unleashed the poisonous senbon in the puppets head which caused for the puppets had to move violently.

Up next was the salamander puppet, Sasori then used the entire hand he held on the puppets back and, then held his hand up, once he did that the shield layers that salamander had hidden on its back came forward.

Finally, with the two fingers he held on both sides of the black ant puppet, he then forced the left side of the strings to left and he did the same with the strings to the right and forced them to the left.

As he did so Black Ants left and right compartment on it's waist opened.

Excellent descriptions! Some of the more detailed ones I've read.

Puppetry in our RP focuses on mid to long range combat. Most of the time, with the puppeteer's focus on their works of art, they'll be vulnerable to shorter, close-range attacks.

Ranges in our RP are as follows. These distances are measured from one's bio!

Short: 0-5 meters
Mid: 6-10 meters
Long: >10 meters

So, if an attack can reach up to long range, this means it can hit anything from short to long range (if it says that it can go from short-long range). These are the longest attacks and have great reach. Some techniques can only reach up to mid-range, and others can only reach up to short range. Simple, right?

However, puppetry is more complex. Distances of jutsus performed are measured from the puppets themselves, not the user. So, when fighting, you'll measure ranges from puppets. Since puppet strings give you a little range on your works of art, you can actually extend the range of some attacks! Crazy, huh?

Let me give you an example.

You control Crow up to 5 meters from you (the edge of short range), and you use a technique that can only reach up to short range (max 5 meters). However, the effects are additive; it's 5+5 = 10! So in reality, Crow is short range distance from you, and the attack it uses reaches up to short range. These add up to create a mid-range combination.

This is a simple explanation of ranges. If you have questions about that, feel free to ask. I know it's a lot of information.

These four techniques focus solely on Crow. Some of them have it releasing weapons, while others take advantage of its ability to detach and brandish blades.

Remember, almost all of the weapons have poison imbued in them, whether they're smoke bombs or kunais or blades.

They look simple enough from their descriptions; do you have questions or comments on any of them? Which ones stand out to you?

Oh that's cool I never thought of it like that before!

The only question I have is on the first technique for crow.

It's a smoke bomb, but like you said there's poison also inside of it so does the poison affect the opponent like the Poison under Sasori Abilities in the Special Bios?

Or is it another type of poison?

... you know, that's actually not a poison-based technique. There is a separate technique that utilizes poison smoke bombs.

From now on, I'll clarify whether or not a technique has poison properties :)

Ok... now, let's try to use actual techniques in combat. The first one I will teach you is a defensive technique: the puppet shield. If you recall, it looks like this.

You must be registered for see images

The shield can protect you from up to C-rank techniques from your opponent.

(Chakra No Tate) - Chakra Shield
Rank: C
Type: Defensive
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The puppets arm will pop out in four different directions in almost an umbrella-like manner. The arm segments will surround the puppets hand, and from those segments, chakra will emit, each one making one fourth of an entire circle, making a shield of pure chakra.
To demonstrate this, I will attack you with this jutsu:

(Senbon Ame) - Endless Rain of Senbon
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The puppet will open its mouth wide, unleashing a torrent of senbon. All of the senbon are poison-tipped, meaning that a single hit by one could be deadly. These senbon can shower the opponent for as long as the user wishes.
And you will defend from it using the chakra shield. Are you ready?

*taking control of a puppet I had summoned, I manipulate the strings to open the puppet's mouth area. A barrel appears, from which hundreds of senbons (needles) fire from it, heading straight towards my student. Were they successful in hitting him, he would experience the effects of my own poison*

* After seeing the barrage of senbon headed his way, Sasori then manipulated the puppet he had at hand. He then flicked up one of the joints on the puppets and when he did, the puppets arms then opened in four different angles. Afterwards he began to generate chakra through the shield creating a "Chakra Shield". Once the needles hit needles hit the shield that were easily deflected and fell to the ground and became useless, and no matter how many he fired they had all been deflected as the two were evenly matched*

Awesome :D

This one is the jutsu I was talking about earlier; where you shoot poison smoke bombs. This has the benefit of blinding an enemy AND poisoning them at the same time. Poison gradually takes effect over 3-5 turns. In a fight, a "turn" counts when you and your opponent make moves against each other.

(Doku Kemuri) -Poison Smokescreen
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The puppet will open its mouth and shoot out smoke balls that are imbued with poison as well. This can be used to obscure the enemy’s vision and to spread poisonous gas in the area at the same time.
Crow and Ant form the crux of this next technique; they're used in combination, so you'll likely control one puppet in each hand. They shoot explosive bombs at their intended targets. Remember to think about a puppet's range in order to extend the otherwise short range of the attacks.

(Kugutsu: Samidare no Jutsu) - Puppet May Rain Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will manipulate Crow and Ant to release a series of explosive bombs at the enemy target/s.
Note can only be used by a Suna puppet user.
Questions on either?

More Crow techniques! All of them are relatively self-explanatory.

Which one of the three would you find most useful? Or... which one do you like the most? xd (and why?)

(Karasu Shuuren) - Crow Drill
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user manipulates Crow to release spikes from its limbs. He then makes Crow fly toward the opponent while spinning rapidly, doing severe damage to them.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user
(Kugutsu no Jutsu: Mugen Bakujin) - Puppet Technique: Infinite Explosive Blades
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: Crow's four arms open and then they shoot four kunai, which then home in on the enemy target exploding on impact.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user
(Kugutsu Hijutsu: Doku Kemuri no Karasu) - Puppetry Secret Technique: Poison Smoke of Crow
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A (- 10 per turn if Inhale smoke)
Description: The user manipulates an airborne Crow to release a mist of smoke from its chest.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user

I like this one because it seems like it can be useful in cutting off a person escape and helping to poison an enemy.
(Btw I have been coming up with some very cool customs for this RPC)

The customs part of the RP is one of the primary reasons people enjoy it a lot. Being creative and utilizing your bio's abilities to the fullest is intensely satisfying. Work on those ideas, and if you'd like, share them with me so I can give you feedback :)

Now we move on to the B-ranks. B-rank techniques are a good balance of chakra conservation and power. These two are also Crow-based techniques. And yes, the spiked hands and blade wings are poison tipped :snick:

(Jinsoku Karasuhane no Jutsu) - Rapid Crow Wings Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user sends his puppet, Crow, rapidly dashing toward the opponent. Crow's six hands then project spikes and stab the opponent, sending them crashing to the ground. Crow then slams them with the spikes when they are on the ground.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user
(Kugutsu no Jutsu: Kaijin Tensen) - Puppet Technique: Revolving Blade Heavenly Drill
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: Crow sprouts blade wings and then spins towards the enemy like a tornado and then slashes them then launching them into the air and releases explosive kunai near the target.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user
You should try and find a visual reference so you know exactly what each technique entails. Aka a picture xd

The second one was the closest I could find to the Rapid Crow Wings Technique.

25 jutsus?! That's incredible dedication... very admirable, honestly. I can't wait to see you start to spar with others once you've developed your skills and such ^_^

Home stretch! Almost done, lol

Now let's talk more advanced puppets. Remember the breakdown you did for Crow, Ant, and Salamander? I want you to do that here with three more sets of puppets: Sasori's Parents, Hiruko, and Sasori himself. I will give you some tips on each one and how to use them in battle, as well as some possible clarifications.

The Mother and Father puppets can use all standard puppet techniques we've learned. They're a little more durable (B-rank strength), and can use steel wires to link to each other or wrap and cut targets. Mother has a sword, and Father has a kunai chain.

I can see these two having some nice combination work! I'm not sure if they have poisoned weapons, since these were used primarily by Chiyo.

Strange, isn't it? In the RP, Sasori can use his own parents in battle. Kinda sad, really.

Sasori’s Parents
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After Sasori’s parents were killed by Sakumo Hatake, he created these two puppets to fill the void left by their deaths, though they were not human puppets. At first, they were simply meant for Sasori to fill the void left by the death of his parents, but later, after Sasori left Sunagakure and left these puppets behind, Chiyo enhanced both of them, adding weapons to them to make them usable for battle. Both have chakra shields installed in them, and they also have steel wires that link together with their fingers that are usable for cutting. The mother puppet has a katana while the father has a chain of kunai.
Note: Usable only by a Sasori or Chiyo character.
Note: Can be summoned separately.
Hiruko... the strongest puppet defense. He can tank up to A-rank attacks, use all regular puppet jutsu, has a poison tipped iron-tail (which I believe can reach up to mid-range from him), and has a torpedo arm that can explode and release needles.

In a fight, especially if you have a Sasori bio, you have to state whether you're going to be inside Hiruko at the beginning. If you're not, you'll be in your Sasori puppet form.

What's cool here is that if you're not in Hiruko form, you can still summon him and allow him to fight alongside you.

Hiruko
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Created by Sasori, Hiruko is the ultimate defensive puppet, hence why Sasori often stays inside of it, being hollow on the inside. From the inside of the puppet, Hiruko can still be freely controlled. Hiruko looks a lot like a normal human when wearing the Akatsuki outfit, his eyes even seeming realistic. Hiruko’s most notable feature is his extremely long iron tail, that Sasori, from inside the puppet, can extend, questionably allowing it to reach an opponent from almost all ranges. The tail extends from the mouth of what seems to be a mask on Hiruko’s back. Hiruko rarely moves in battle, however, during the brief fight with Kankurou, it has been shown that he has decent speed, though it is short-lived, having had sidestepped his attack easily. Hiruko cannot be broken by normal weapons. When he had been impaled by approximately eight of Crow’s knives, they failed to make even a scratch on him. When outside of the Akatsuki uniform, when he seems to take a more spider-like appearance, Hiruko’s speed is greatly increased, allowing him to scurry across the battlefield. Hiruko can only be destroyed by an attack of at least A rank, or by someone with strength such as Sakura’s, Tsunade’s, or Kakuzu’s. Hiruko’s left arm is shaped like a torpedo, and can be shot out towards the opponent, exploding and releasing needles in all directions when it does so.
Note: Only Usable by a Sasori character.
And this... is you in jutsu form. Probably the best standard puppet in your arsenal, since you can do a lot with him (you).

Let me list down the entire deal:
- EVERY bladed weapon on Sasori's self is poisoned.
- He has a scythe on his right arm for close range slashing.
- The long cable in his stomach cavity can reach up to mid-range, and is also poison tipped. You can even use it as a grapple of sorts, quickly maneuvering yourself throughout the battlefield if the terrain allows it.
- The propellers on his back are incredible and some of the most useful tools. You can use them to dodge techniques at high speeds, and even defend yourself from attacks from the back. Unlimited usages in a fight, and you can hurt enemies with them, too!
- Sasori has pipes on his hands that can shoot A-rank water or fire blasts. Great coverage.
- Sasori can't feel anything, but his heart container is the only real vulnerability he has. Recall what happened in the manga; that was how he died.
- Sasori has the 100 strings for his Red Puppet Army; however, what's less well-known is that these 100 strings can attach to individual puppets as well. So theoretically, among those 100 puppets, you can have puppets like Crow, Salamander, Black Ant, Sasori's Parents, Hiruko, and the Third Kazekage... basically using his entire arsenal in one go!

Sasori
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 40 (if summoning)
Damage: N/A
Description: Sasori, after leaving the village, made himself into a puppet, his most powerful one. Sasori, has many compartments on himself that hold scrolls inside of him that allow him to summon other puppets. In its right arm, there is a large retractable scythe. In place of his stomach, there is a compartment with a long, thick cable wrapped around a pole that can be used as a singer, able to be retracted and lengthened at will. On the back of Sasori’s hips is a pair of poles, which are equipped with five large blades each that can spin like a propeller, allowing a great defense from behind, as well as a deadly maneuver for any opponent trying a surprise attack. There are pipes on the palm of each of Sasori’s hand that can spew out powerful fire like a flamethrower or water jets (both equal to A rank). In the right part of his chest, there is a compartment filled with 100 chakra strings. In the left part of Sasori is his heart container, though this is not there, of course, when used by Kankurou. Sasori is immune from being hurt in anywhere but his heart, which would take a very direct attack. When hit anywhere else, he can simply retract the broken area back together, even able to withstand powerful poison. His entire body, besides his heart, is a puppet, and so he cannot feel anything anywhere other than his heart. Within a split second, the heart container in Sasori is able to be transferred from one puppet to another.
Note: Only usable by a Sasori or Kankurou character.
