I'll train you with Souji, then U_U let's make this a fun one.
Souji appears next to Kazuya, sitting down beside him in a relaxed, casual position, leaning his back against one of tree stumps on the training grounds. (think of our location as the training grounds for Team 7)
Looking over to his student, he nodded once in acknowledgement. There's a silence, although not an uncomfortable one, as he pulls out a deck of cards, with a distinct velvet coloring to them. These weren't typical playing cards, rather, tarot cards.
Shuffling them a couple of times, Souji looks as if he's completely fixated on them, rather than the individual next to him. Drawing a card, he draws:
0, The Fool.
Smirking, he reshuffles. Draws again.
21, The World.
Raising his eyebrows, he shuffles, and draws two.
0. 21.
Looking satisfied, he turns to Kazuya, chuckling sheepishly, changing his persona from a quiet one to his typical friendly, approachable one.
"Sorry, got caught up in there for a moment. These cards are pretty interesting... I'm sure you've seen them before. You'd be the kind of guy who would, I think. But for some reason, I always get these same two cards..." he remarked.
"Ah, where are my manners? I'm Souji Seta of Konoha. Welcome to Raiton training."
"Just introduce yourself, and we'll move on to our first couple of exercises."
Souji shuffled the cards while Kazuya was introducing himself (you can write out your introduction if you'd like).
"I want you to pick out three of these tarot cards. You may be surprised to find the ones that represent you the most. In between each draw of a card, give me the basics of our world. Chakra, ninjutsu, and shinobi. Tell me everything you know about each concept."
He gave a friendly grin as he held out the cards, fanned out and face down, to Kazuya.

Kazuya noticed his teacher sitting next to him and kept silent. His mind was set on training and training alone. Socialization seemed unnecessary to him. This soon changed as he noticed his teacher taking out two cards from a strange yet familiar looking deck.
''Those cards...'' He said with a surprising tone.
Kazuya stood up in order to take a good look at his teacher and the cards in his hand.
''I've never been fond of introductions, but I guess I can make an exception. My name is Kazuya Minegishi...Now let us see if my knowledge can exceed your expectations... ''
He quickly grabs one of the cards in order to avoid any further introduction.
Number 13, Death.
''Chakra is composed out of physical energy which is present in every cell of the body and the spiritual energy gained from the mind. It can be channelled through the chakra circulatory system to any of the 361 chakra points in the body. These chakra points are also known as ''tenketsu''. There are two types of chakra. It's been stated that all Chakra supposedly originated from the Shinju. Long before the founding of the hidden villages the Shinju bore a Chakra Fruit once every thousand years. Kazuya walked next to his senpai and headed to what seemed to be a clearing in the forest. He held his head low and was seemingly uninterested by his surroundings.
He seemed to be the complete opposite of his teacher, who was obviously taking in the surroundings. Even though they were completely different, Kazuya still felt like he could somehow relate to Souji.
''...Thanks, I guess. I simply told you what you wanted me to.''
''Anyway, I have never given it much thought. My nindo, huh? Well...The two things that have been driving me up until now are acceptance and justice. I want to acquire as much power as possible in order to prove my worth and use that power to crush anyone who thinks they can victimize innocent people. To grow and protect. You could say that's my Nindo.''
After giving his explanation, Souji suddenly asked him to explain the fundamentals of Raiton. Kazuya felt like Souji was expecting a lot from him, and he was determined to deliver those expectations.
''Lightning Release is one of the five basic elemental nature transformations that grants users the ability generate lightning by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra. The electricity that gets exerted through the use of Raiton manipulation can paralyze the target so that they are unable to move and leave them vulnerable to a finishing strike. Much like Wind release, lightning can be infused into bladed weapons for increased piercing power through vibrations, with the added effect of inducing numbness.
You could say that lightning is very difficult to control due to its chaotic nature and excessive amount of energy. Lightning techniques often form into an easy shape such as a beam or a bolt. Due to it's simple use the techniques can be predicted and countered more easily by the opponent. However, lightning also has a lot of advantages such as the ability of conduction and the speed it moves at. Those advantages actually make up for its predictive style.
The element of lightning is strong against earth because it can easily travel through it and even break the ground apart. However, it is naturally weak against wind because air is an insulator of electric current. Lightning has a unique relation with water, since water conducts electricity.''
Kazuya felt like this information would suffice, even though he could go on for hours about the amazing concept of lightning. As a final test of knowledge, Souji asked him the relation between Shape and Nature manipulation when it comes to the creation of Ninjutsu. He clears his mind in an attempt to finally impress his senpai greatly.

Shape manipulation focuses on changing the shape and form of a technique. Through shape manipulation you can change the form, movement, size and even range of a technique.
Nature manipulation refers to the moulding and changing of one's chakra into specific properties and characteristics. There are five basic elemental types into which the nature of chakra can be transformed. For example, in order to properly mold fire natured chakra you'd have to clear your mind and focus solely on the characteristics of fire itself.
Both are necessary in order to sucessfully perform a technique.''

Embarrasses me, honestly. I've got all kinds of students: good ones, alright ones, students stronger than me, and so on and so forth. I can only hope that I live up to their expectations."
His expression, though still the same, hid a very subtle aspect of his personality that he didn't normally reveal. Furthermore, his words alluded to them. What could they be?

Apply everything you've just told me and channel your Raiton chakra through this paper once you've taken it from my hand. If you're successful, the paper will wrinkle up."

Kazuya looked up towards the sky and smiled for a few seconds. It was unusual for him to let out any kind of emotion around people he barely knew, but it almost seemed like he had no control over it this time. After a few seconds Kazuya regained his regular pose and nodded in his senpai's direction.
''...Let's keep this up, Souji senpai''.
I took the paper sheet with my right hand and started to gather some chakra. While concentrating I began to focus chakra to my hand and guided it slowly through my palm and eventually the tips of my fingers. I felt a somewhat uneasy feeling as I tried to concentrate on the very essence of lightning. It can signify a loss of ignorance. It can be symbol of a terrible event and tragedy. Chaotic and negative emotions started to develop in my mind, but I knew I had to keep control of myself. Despite all that negativity, my body felt completely energized and full of life. The air around me started to feel slightly compressed and heated due to the process of imagination which almost felt like a hindrance.
I took a deep breath and focused once more in order to gain complete control over myself and regain my posture. I started to mold some chakra and guided it through my fingertips once more. While keeping the negative and chaotic feelings in check I directed my chakra towards the paper between my fingers. It felt like my chakra started to increase in both frequency and vibration. The speed at which it started moving through my body felt more and more overwhelming as well. The high frequency eventually came into contact with the paper and wrinkled it.

Call it intuition, but Souji could almost see Naoya's experiences through his expression. There were no words spoken through this exercise, but there was an unspoken connection between both shinobi. It was clear he had a solid foundation. With a confident smirk, Souji stood up and clapped his hands together, looking satisfied.
"I have nothing else to add. Let's begin with the techniques."
Reaching into his equipment bag, he pulled out five clay discs.
"So, you've learned how to channel chakra through a conduit; in this case, the paper. Further down the road, we'll learn to channel it through weapons."
"But let's start with the absolute basics. For the D-rank techniques, simply perform them and understand the principles behind each technique."
"Now, for the first jutsu, I want you to gather Raiton chakra in your hands, and apply your shape manipulation to form condensed bolts of lightning that build up in your hands. Once you've had enough, you can release this chakra as a lightning bolt that will hit your target. It's very fast to form and shoot off."
"For this exercise, I'm going to throw these clay discs one by one, like frisbees. Hit each one of them with a lightning bolt. Hope your aim is good!"
Souji threw the first one.
Then the second.
Third, Fourth...
and Fifth.

(Sorry for the very late response. >_> I said I'd return but I just kept stalling. I'll reply anyway and see where this goes)
I started to mold some chakra as Souji-Sensei was giving his explanation. After listening to what Sensei had to say, I started to convert my chakra into lightning-natured chakra. I kept experiencing the same energetic sensation as before, although I felt a lot more in control compared to last time. The energy did not completely overwhelm me nor did it feel unnatural. I started to guide the lightning-natured chakra to my hands and kept it in control all the way to my palms. After focusing the chakra in my hands, I envisioned the shape of a lightning bolt coming down from the sky. The shape. The speed. The sound. Anything that could even define it in the slighest flashed before me. I focused that thought into shape manipulation and formed my chakra into the desired shape. My imagination had become reality in this case as small bolts of lightning could be formed from the palm of my hands.
After watching Sensei throwing the first disc into the air, I immediately responded in the way which was expected of me. I released the chakra as a lightning bolt towards the first flying disc, scathing it and making it fall to the ground. It was obvious that I was still an amateur. Souji-Sensei kept throwing discs into the air. The second and third one followed after each other not long after the first one. I focused my attention towards the sky once more and released my chakra in the form of a lightning bolt towards the discs. The two discs showed clear signs of damage as they fell to the ground. It felt like an improvement. After going through that bit of practice, Souji-Sensei threw the remaining few discs into the air one by one. I knew I had to make these ones count. After shifting my attention towards the sky for a final time, I only had one clear goal in mind. Utter destruction. I once again released a few lightning bolts at the remaining discs, which ended up shattering them completely.

"Good, good. Let's keep practicing. I can see you're getting the hang of molding chakra into lightning."
"For this next technique, gather lightning chakra in your hands and slam your palms on the ground. By channeling the chakra, you'll cause a current to surge through the ground towards a target, giving them an ample shock."
