The problem with the MinaKushi parallel? No “Sasuke” and no “Hinata, there was no girl chasing Minato and there was no one Kushina liked before Minato. How the hell does one ignore to very significant pieces of this? Why is sasuke in some parrallels and not others?
Sure, Kushina tells Naruto to Find a Girl Like her.
But Really, it is an INSULT, a HUGE insult to Kushina as a mother to think she would mean someone that has anger issues, a violent natural, similar hair, and other shallow things as opposed to something that ACTUALLY matters…. you know, something like love.
Kushina’s words meant “Find a girl who will love you like I do” not “find a girl who will Beat you like I did to bullies”
t isn’t significant. Just like how Yamato’s Sai’s, Gamikichi’s & Konohamaru’s assumptions of Naruto & Sakura being together were not true.
Honestly, this is the 5th stranger to think that Naruto & Sakura are an Item.
The point of that, to me, seems like Kishi is poking fun at the Main X Main ideology. Think about it. If a STRANGER was introduced to a fictional series, they’ll almost always assume the main guy & girl are an item.
This is the same case as NaruSaku.
Minato saying take care of my son could and couldn’t imply that he’s “giving Naruto away” but then again, it’s not Minato’s business who Naruto wants.
To add to all this, Minato has yet to meet Hinata, whom, as we all know, has been there for Naruto multiple times and truly loves him. Sakura, on the other hand, STILL LOVES SASUKE. I can’t emphasis this enough.
Still even IF Sakura doesn’t love Sasuke, she doesn’t love Naruto romantically at all. That’s kinda why she HIT Naruto when she was called his girlfriend.
One final thing: Minato, Konohamaru, Gamikichi, Yamato & Sai all commented on the NS relation when they first met Naruto &/or Sakura, and hardly knew shit about them.
so 5 strangers being “pro” NaruSaku.
And then, for Naruhina, there’s Kiba & Neji. Kiba & Neji were there during the POAL, The Failfession (Kiba only), & then the whole “in your eyes” thing.
So these two have witnessed some pretty important moments involving pairings. adding to that, they also know Naruto & Hinata on a personal level, these two who have supported NH ACTUALLY KNOW Naruto & Hinata.
Kiba has known Naruto, Sakura & Hinata for at least 10 years
He is Hinata’s team mate and is well aware of her love for Naruto.
He witnessed the promise Naruto made to Sakura to bring Sasuke back.
He witnessed Sakura’s Fake confession to Naruto, and reacted with a twisted look on his face.
And he witnessed the way Naruto & Hinata were able to understand each other.
So, how exactly does Minato, who knows NOTHING about Sakura and knows nothing about Naruto aside from the fact that he’s his son, asking if Sakura is Naruto’s girlfriend, surpass Kiba’s statement of “Don’t try acting cool just cause Hinata’s here!”, especially when considering in 559, where Naruto says “I can’t keep getting saved like this, It’s NOT COOL.”
Not to mention Kiba’s panel is like 5X bigger than Minato’s…
Or the fact that Naruto went on to reply by poking fun at Sakura’s fake confession (The raws of 631 & Naruto’s statement in 632 confirm this), causing her to headbonk him while in the middle of healing, A clear indication that this moment was nothing but a boke and tsukkomi routine, something very common in anime, which in turn, does indeed make this comedy.
