the point is i'm pretty sure none of us here on NB is a part of that BS... so why punish us?... we will all gladly sign a damn petition on a thread or something but take off the damn black boxes... it's getting quite annoying seeing them...

I'm also pretty sure that 100% of the NB- members does/has done something that is 'illigal' according to ACTA, so yeah, its a part of us all. Maybe if people start suiciding people will realize that censoring the internet is the most idiotic thing you can do(yes people say they'll suicide). it's all about the $$ for them, they don't care about us.

Its not only NB. The whole world will be badly affected by this.
I dont think a petition would work now. Because 103 countries have already agreed and signed for the ACTA. Those countries include all the big ones, USA, UK, Canada, France, Japan, China, etc..
I dunno' if this was directed at me, since you didn't quote. So, sorry, if it wasn't xD
I just read about it on some articles. Most of them say ACTA is worse than SOPA :/
I couldn't be bothered looking into it properly. But the point remains — these people won't give up, will they? D:
Can't trust anything. SOPA is done, but ACTA is on its way. I also don't believe the government dispute them not allowing the plan to go thru, I bet behind closed doors they will still be creeping us.

Ummm....actually SOPA was introduced in August and was supposed to be signed in October, but Obama delayed it saying that they should first ask the people.
And ACTA was introduced in October but kept a secret from the public. But the countries were discussing about it since then. Now that the time to bring ACTA in action is near, the European govt. has revealed it to people of Europe only.

Ik....the European govt. had thought of it a long ago...but they started discussing it with other countries since October.

This is bigger problem than we thought, people. It doesn't just cover the internet, like SOPA and PIPA. ACTA goes after medicine, tourism and trade, too :/
