kaguya has the byakugan. and last chapter genetics was brought into the traits of the sages family, so im just gonna assume the sages brother had the byakugan, while hagoromo got the rinnegan, and possibly the sharingan was a recessive trait which was passed to indra. yes no?

This seems to be a popular idea, but I am not sure why people assume Kaguya sprouted out of the ground (pun intended) and had no family. Having a surname at all, Ootsutsuki, suggests one having relatives. I believe she was even called "Princess Kaguya" by Madara, again suggesting she has her own people; however I am wondering about those translations. Sure, it's possible the Hyuga come from Hagoromo's brother, but I wouldn't rule out the fact that they come from Kaguya's people. In fact, Kaguya being a Princess suggests royalty (obviously) or what you could call a "main branch, which is a tradition we have seen with the Hyuga. I would find it very coincidental that Kaguya's people and the Hyuga both have a royal line and yet the line's are separate (which would be the case if the Hyuga's sole heir is Kaguya's son). I guess two things you really have to wonder is why the name change, Ootsutsuki to Hyuga and if Kaguya comes from a "far away land" why are people with the Byukugan in Konoha.

Good point maybe the hyuga are her relatives that came to the Naruto verses continent. And for whatever reason took on a new name.
