Well it's made using lightning, manipulating it's shape to become three tomoe that are connected by sparks of lightning, so you kinda create a 3 tomoe sharingan out of lightning in your hand which you then throw.
when the lightning comes into contact with anything it will explode into a giant pillar of lightning that reaches really high, so dodging upwards is a very bad idea ._. I feel like this could be useful for doing just that, first by surrounding your opponent some how (e.g create earth spikes below and around them, they won't be able to use hiding like a mole, and if they jump, kaboom pillar of lightning. You gotta time it right though).

Description: After weaving the required handseals, the user will then focus their raiton chakra into their palm, using shape manipulation to create three tomoe's of lightning, connected in a triangular formation by smaller bolts of lightning. I gather in my chakra and mould it to give it the properties of lightning, then quickly performing the required hand seals and channelling this chakra throughout my body and into the palm of my right hand. The sparks start to frm and grow into bolts, I manipulate the shape of the bolts to form into three tomoe of lightning spread out evenly in a triangle formation above my hand, these three tomoe are all connected by small bolts of lightning. I then looked over to some practice dummy, pulling my right arm back and then launching it forward, throwing the Tri-tomoe like a giant shuriken at the dummy. Once the lightning makes contact it explodes into a tall put thin pillar created out of pure lightning, the pillar reaches up towards the sky and rips the dummy apart.

Alright, that's looking good. Now, as a final step, I'd like you to tell me any advantageous points of this jutsu, any disadvantageous points, and any creative uses you can come up with. This section is mainly for me to see if you can be creative with this, and have a good enough understanding that you can be creative without misusing the technique.

Advantages of this technique is that it takes on two forms and doesn't stay as the same three tomoe all the way through but explodes into something bigger, it is even able to take out summons the size of gamabunta if used correctly.

Though there are disadvantages to the technique, the hand seals and the prep time may be a problem to some users, you just need to use it at the right time and not whenever you can. Also the fact that when it comes into contact with an object it will explode into the pillar of lightning, so you can't use it to counter an attack and proceed to attack the opponent.

If I have a clone, or actually I might not need a clone, I could use this attack in conjunction with earth spikes, For example; If I somehow get behind the user I could throw this at them, my clone which would be in front and keeping them busy would use earth spikes so that the opponent might dodge by jumping into the air and the tri-tomow hitting the spikes straight after and sending an electrical beam into him and bleh OR the opponent uses nagashi to kill the spikes but the tri-tomoe would just got through being stronger and bleh him again.
