1.It was Hinata because of whom Naruto tranformed into 9 Tails during Pain's Invasion.... If not for her to try and protect Naruto.... Naruto was a goner....

2.It was Hinata who slapped Naruto to bring him to his senses when Naruto almost fell for Obito's TnJ....

I think these two incidents make her way to useful.... I'm not comparing her to Sakura.... But she turned the tables twice when Naruto was almost a goner.... U_U

Pretty much this. Naruto almost joined Obito after Neji's death and Hinata was the one to snap him out of it. She is definitely the second best Tnj user after hashirama and before Naruto.

Hinata is probably more useless than Sakura but Hinata is a support character not a main character, so you can't compare Sakura to Hinata who is a support character. Sakura should be compared with Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi not a frickin' support character.

Hinata has a Kekkei Genkai, developed a Jutsu which surpassed Neji the genius (8 trigram protection > heavenly rotation), is truly in love with naruto, saved him multiple times, "healed" his arm, has beautiful hair is probably the kindest character from Naruto and so on.

since I like both of them I don't want to put anyone down but as mentioned Hinata did a little bit more for a longer time than what sakura does now. also side char - main char is just meaningless

In terms of Character growth, Hinata has grown significantly. It is very noticeable. And commendable, because you don't really expect side characters like her to get a spotlight often.

Sakura's growth on the other hand, seems to be more erratic than anything else...even her attempts to kill Sauske and grow out of her fan-girlism were rendered useless when she got saved by Naruto. Plus, we've been seeing less and less of her more often until recently. As a main heroine, we expect to see her as much as we see Naruto and Sauske, and grow character wise as well...But we've not seen that steady progression consistently.

Honestly, I think the anger he had at pain, mixed with the shock and confusion from her confession and death, were all factors that led for him to transform. And I do believe that Naruto does care about Hinata more than his other friends (after team seven of course)

yea? well why hasn he acknowledged her yet? Why has she shown absolute zero interest in her, yet when asked if sakura was his girlfriend he said yes. If he really felt something for hinata, he would have responded differently. And hinata knows it, that's why she was just standing there like......

Yeah....im not going to go there (pairing wars), but I will say that he has acknowledged her , multiple times may I add, and if you are somehow not seeing this, then there's nothing that can really be done.

Having kekkei genkai is not making someone automatically more powerful or worthful.
She did notsurpass Neji; that move was a filler. Neji is far superior to her.
There are also other kind characters.
Having beautiful hair? How is that a significant trait?
