Soo since when is the sun and moon dichotomy relevant to the manga?

Is it me or did that just show up in recent chapters out of nowhere. Naruto has the sun and sasuke the moon but since when is that even a thing? I know the sages staff is described as such and Naruto ad sasuke have always been opposites but even that seemed random and had me confused as hell.

Well, the clan symbols on Naruto and Sasuke's back represent the sun and a crescent moon; something that has been overlooked throughout the entire series.

The concept isn't confusing I just can't remember ANY mention of it in the manga before they got the sages power up

The Uchiha clan symbol more represents a fan, but most Uchiha related incidents has always had a moon in the background (clan massacre, Sasuke attaining the ms, Itachi attaining the ms, etc...)
