Description of you performing the genjutsu: By releasing a steady flow of my chakra into the air and using it to interrupt my opponents chakra flow I manipulate what he sees and cause him to see multiple clones of myself emerge from the ground around us and then I cause them to appear to attack him, when he destroys a clone it merely multiplies and reforms in the place of the 'destroyed one'.

Strong points of the technique: As earth clones are created through the earth there is no real obvious way in which to tell this is a genjutsu until you engage them in combat, this gives the user a decent length of time in which they can set up an attack or adjust there position to gain an advantage on their opponent.
Due to the genjutsu appearing to create clones this could force the opponent into using a jutsu in defense of what is in actual fact nothing, wasting a jutsu slot in the process.

Weak points of the technique: As the clones appear in numbers the enemy may resort to using a wide ranging powerful attack to destroy them with, this mens that you have forced your opponent into using an attack which will put you on the back foot and in a potion where you must avoid before making another move, by the time you have avoided the attack your opponent could well have figured out the genjutsu and have dispelled it.

Questions: None

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Description of you performing the genjutsu: After steadying my release of chakra through the air I perform two handseals and trap my opponent in a genjutsu in which hundreds of leaves rise up around him and cause him to see the most horrific picture they've ever seen, once the leaves fade the opponent should be on the ground fainted and helpless due to the shock horror of what he has just seen.

Strong points of the technique: The fainting effect is the best part of this technique, once your opponent is unconscious the match is more or less over as they have no way of defending themselves from your next attack.

Weak points of the technique: unlike any other jutsu with the leaves materializing around him and the horror show picture, therefore it is possibly quite easy to decipher.

Questions: With any genjutsu like this one which causes something to rise up around you, if you move outside of the 'leaves' do you dispell the genjutsu? This is something I've never really understood fully as a lot of gen relies on the opponent being surrounded by something, be it petals or leaves and the most obvious thing to do would be to get away from them.

As far as I know, the leaves will just move with the opponent as they try to get out. As unrealistic as it sounds, this can happen in a genjutsu. It doesn't matter where you go, the leaves will surround you. It would drive one mad if it wasn't for the short period the leaves are actually there. Also, you would not know if there is something with the leaves, maybe they are razor sharp and if you move into them you will get cut. Since you don't know that, it is not save to try. That is the catch of genjutsus, if you want to get out of them, you have to tell why you know it is a genjutsu, or find a cause to do something to get out. You have to think logically, yet take everything that can be done in mind, but you will find something if you think long enough. When the leaves are there, out of nowhere, you can try to perform a wind jutsu, or try to stick a sword in or so. If the sword would be damaged, it is not save. If not, then it is. With wind, if the leaves are not blown away by the wind, but just keep swirling, then either they are not leaves or.... it is a picture, a genjutsu.

I hope that made it more clear o.o

Anytime. Let's move on then!

( Genjutsu: Kai ) - Illusion Technique: Release
Rank: C-S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15-40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.

Once you realise you're trapped in a genjutsu, you have several ways to get out. One of them is Kai. You can perform Kai by performing one handseal and focusing your chakra, after which you forcefully stop your chakra momentarily. You then let your chakra flow again, this unbalances your chakra and dispels any genjutsu up to A-rank for you. It is a simple but effective technique, but keep in mind that you need to thoroughly explain how you figured out you're trapped in a genjutsu.
Now for performing.. *I trap you in a genjutsu where I make you believe the grass suddenly catches fire. The fire rapidly closes in on you..*

( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.

Trap your opponent in a genjutsu where you make them believe that they are travelling in a straight line whilst they are actually moving in circles. They will eventually get exhausted. Keep in mind that you can only cast this on a moving opponent.

Description of you performing the genjutsu: As the grass before me suddenly erupts into a frenzy of burning flames I know I must escape, quickly I jump to my right to avoid the path of the flames as they spread toward me. This however does not help, the flames follow me as if locked onto my body somehow and injected with an killing intent, understanding the nature of flames I know that they spread wildly and do not travel a specific path, however, if this is a fire technique then the flames could easily be manipulated by the user. Calming my mind and reducing my panic I know I must give myself some breathing room. It is with this thought that the answer comes to me. My breathing is not obscured, being in this close proximity to flames my throat should be dry and my breath depleting as the smoke and ash dries my lungs, but it doesn't and there is no smoke, not a smell nor a sight. The more I realise the less real these flames become to me, they begin to emanate no real heat and no heatwaves can be seen in the air directly above the raging fire as would be expected. This is a genjutsu, upopn this conclusion I bring my hand to my front and perform a single handseal sending an energy spike throughout my body and breaking the genjutsu. (I'm hoping that works.)

Strong points of the technique: A surefire way of dispelling genjutsu without feeling the repercussions of an enemy expecting nagashi and setting up a follow up move for the sight of the lightning. Also has a wide rank range.

Weak points of the technique: Does not provide any counter to follow up moves from the opponent.

Questions: Nope.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Description of you performing the genjutsu: After releasing a stream of my chakra into my opponents chakra stream I place him under a genjutsu by attacking the ascending frontal gyrus of his brain and disrupt his movement causing him to run in circles when he himself believes that he is travelling in a straight line.

Strong points of the technique: Could take a long time to figure out as it attacks the brain and not a primary sense such as sight, sound, smell etc.

Weak points of the technique: Can make follow up attacks difficult for the user as the opponent is constantly moving.

Questions: Could this be escaped by throwing a kunai forwards and then taking a step, the kunai would then be to your side and you would know that you have turned unwillingly. or would your eyes still see the kunai ahead of you one you had stepped even though it is in fact not in front of you?

No, in my opinion this would not work, because this is a genjutsu. You can make the opponent believe that the kunai they threw goes further away and hits the mark they wanted, but they cannot get there, no matter how fast and how far they run. Since you control what they see, you can alter their vision of where they kunai is too.

( Genjutsu: Jinmon ) - Illusion Technique: Interrogation
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: The user of this technique, upon casting on a stationary opponent with physical contact with them, is able to convince the enemy to give away information. However, this will only work on ninja two ranks lower and below than the caster.

Use your chakra to cast this genjutsu upon your opponent on physical contact with them. This will enable you to convince them to give away information.

( Genjutsu: Jigoku Gouka ) - Illusion Technique: Hell Fire
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion where the opponent sees a huge ball of fire descending from the sky and enveloping its target.

Use your chakra to trap your opponent in this genjutsu. They will see a huge ball of fire, descending from the sky towards them after which it will seem to envelop them.

With my opponent held in place I walk over to his position and place my hand on his shoulder, in this action I place him under a genjutsu which allows me to find out any information that I wish to know merely by convincing him to say it.

Strong points of the technique:
- Allows you to access information that would otherwise be impossible for you to know or find out.

Weak points of the technique:
- Opponent must be stationary
- Only works on ninja two ranks below the user
- Doesn't have much use whilst in battle

Questions: None

=========================================================================================

After my chakra through the air I am able to place my opponent in a genjutsu in which they see a great fireball descending upon them from the sky. The fireball then hits them and envelops them in imaginary flames.

Strong points of the technique:
- Provides a great distraction to the opponent, averting their eyes from your actions.
- As the fireball comes from high in the sky it is hard for the opponent to decide it is a genjutsu as they are unable to get a clear sense of the flames until they come in closer to the opponent.

Weak points of the technique:
- The fireball, coming from so high may not bother the opponent straight away giving them time to plan a counter as well as watch for your next move.
- Fire techniques tend to originate from the users body and may therefore be figured out as it is completely separated from the user when it forms.

Questions: Nopes

Knowing and understanding the weather would help in this situation, fire cannot merely be formed in the air without a build up of chakra before hand, a build up of fire chakra in the air raises humidity levels and creates clouds, should the fireball suddenly emerge from a clear blue sky then you know that these flames are most likely an illusion. Also, as fire jutsu in the majority of cases originate from the user (I believe there are only one or two techniques which don't and they both fe from the ground.) I can make an educated guess that these flames are not real, obviously this would not be 100% fool proof but there is no harm in trying as even if you we're wrong and it was a real fireball it would not reach you before you set up an appropriate counter. The other option of course is just to counter it as if it were fire, when the fire was not affected you would know.

Any better ways? I'm assuming yes.

Can you smell the building up of fire chakra? If not then I don't think that is a good argument.
You can feel the heat, use sharingan, a water jutsu to block it and if that goes through it you can know it is a genjutsu, etc.

Any questions about that, or does it seem to be clear? :p

It was merely a joke o_o'

Let's move on.

( Genjutsu: Kasumi no Jutsu ) - Illusion Technique: Mist Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates an illusionary clone that charges towards the enemy, jumps, then explodes in a cloud of cherry blossom petals which results in confusing the opponent and obscuring their vision, leaving them open for attack.

Focus your chakra and trap the opponent into a genjutsu where it seems like you're creating a clone that charges towards the opponent. As it reaches a certain location it jumps and explodes into a cloud of cherry blossom petals which will obscure the opponent's vision.

( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

Take your sword and wave it back and forth. Once the opponent looks at your sword, they will be trapped into a genjutsu. This causes them to hallucinate and think you're a willow tree that is blowing in the wind. Whilst your opponent is off guard, you are free to cut them down.

My apologies, It's hard to sense jokes via text.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Description of you performing the genjutsu: I begin by performing a single handseal and focusing my chakra in order to trap my opponent in a genjutsu where he believes that I have created a clone, the clone runs at the opponent before jumping into the air and exploding into a cloud of Cherry Blossom petals which separate me from his view. The handseal being purely to add to the illusion that I have created a clone and not a necessary part of the jutsu.

Strong points of the technique: Could force your opponent to waste a jutsu slot trying to destroy the clone which the jutsu would just go straight through. Having something travelling straight at the opponent causes a big enough distraction as it is to your opponent, to have them explode into a cloud of petals gives you an exceedingly long time to follow up.

Weak points of the technique: An explosion of cherry blossom petals could be easily deciphered, also if the opponent lets the genjutsu go it doesn't actually pose them any threat, all they really need to do is move and the effects of the genjutsu are useless.

Questions: None.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description of you performing the genjutsu: By first drawing my sword and waving it continuously from side to side I trap my opponent in a genjutsu which firstly makes him see my swinging blade as multiple waving arms, the movement they witness is fairly similar to that of a willow tree blowing in the wind.

Strong points of the technique: ...

Weak points of the technique: ...

Questions: I don't understand the use in this technique at all... the genjutsu forces your opponent to see you with multiple arms which resemble a willow tree blowing in the wind... Is that helpful? O_O

Wouldn't you be scared if a tree attacked you? D: <
Well, to be honest I never used the technique in battle because I don't think it is really useful. The bottom line of the technique is that your opponent does not expect a tree attacking them and thus will not see the attack coming. But I'd immobilise my opponent or something so that they could see the attack coming and suffer before they die instead of using such technique. But maybe that is my evil side speaking.

But there is no mention of actually turning into a tree in the tech and anyway, if you were to turn into a tree, the moment you moved you'd have given the genjutsu away surely. Trees do not simply run at people xD I don't blame you for not using the tech, I can't see myself using it either ^^

I think that is why it is short ranged. When you move, you strike. There is no way for the opponent to react that fast, since they cannot expect a tree attacking :p

( Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō Sakkaku ) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to strike. In reality, the opponent is immobilized by the illusion, allowing the user to strike.

Use your chakra to trap the opponent into a genjutsu where it will seem like you disappear before the opponent whilst several bean vines start to grow from the ground to bind their body and to lift them into the air. Once they are lifted, a bean pod rises from the ground, reaching the opponents height as it reveals yourself, ready to strike the opponent.

( Magen: Hanarasui ) - Demonic Illusion: Flower Head Death
Rank: B
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Short- Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40 due to stress on the mind
Description: The user will trap the target within an illusion where the opponent appears to be trapped in a large flower bud which then explodes. The opponent is made to believe that an explosion actually occurred and collapses, believing himself to be injured. The resulting stress on his mind causes damage.

Again use your chakra to trap your opponent in an illusion where they believe they are trapped in a large flower bud. Once they realise they are stuck, the bud will explode. Due to the opponent believing that this actually happened, their brain will make them feel the pain.

By using my own chakra to interfere with my opponents chakra flow and to mess with his brain I force him to believe that I am disappearing from my location in front of him, whilst I disappear many vines rise from the ground trapping him and lifting him upwards off of the ground. Once he is lifted a bean pod rises from the ground by his position and opens to reveal me, I then strike him with a blow whilst he is unable to move.

Strong points of the technique: Immobilize the opponent as well as removing his contact to the ground, this stops the use of some earth jutsu in the process. Also as what traps him are vines and are naturally grown from the ground and are also usable through wood style ninjutsu this would be hard to decipher as being a genjutsu. Limits the use use of handseals.

Weak points of the technique: As lightning style is a common way of breaking genjutsu and is also the main weakness to earth or wood release techniques then the opponent may break themselves out of the illusion without really meaning to, believing he is in fact just taking advantage of the elemental weaknesses of earth/wood to break the vines.

Questions: None.

====================================================================================
Using my chakra in the air I trap my opponent in a genjutsu which makes them see a giant flower bud rise up around them, trapping them inside. Once they see they are trapped the flower bud explodes, due to the opponent believing that this has actually taken place the brain would automatically set off the pain receptors in his body causing him to hurt.

Strong points of the technique: Inflicts pain on the opponent through his mind. Happens quickly and is therefore hard to stop. As with the technique above this sort of jutsu is possible to utilize in some form with wood and to a certain extent earth releases.

Weak points of the technique: Unlike most genjutsu this one does not help the user to set up an attack unnoticed like the majority of genjutsu are for. Not really a weakness as such but it could be seen as one due to most genjutsu being used for this purpose. Doesn't restrict the opponent in anyway meaning that anything in their arsenal is open for them to use as a counter.

Questions: Is there anywhere where it says what type of pain this would cause? An explosion normally would burn the skin but the explosion from this wouldn't as it has no heat or form. I assume it would be a sharp pain emanating from the whole body, if so then this would also put tension into muscles and would limit movement for a short time after the technique was used right? Or would it be more an ache in more specific spots of the body?

Since it is a genjutsu, the type of pain us up to the one who casts it. I cannot stress the importance op proper description of how exactly you want the genjutsu to be. If you say there will be burn-damage, there will because his brain makes him believe there is. And yes, it will temporarily make him collapse.
