Like why did he need an Uchiha body to use the Sharingan? Danzo and Kakashi used it just fine but Orochimaru was fiening for an Uchiha body. And if that's the case if he ever does become able to use Sharing an, could he get a hold of Kaguyas and Madaras forehead Sharinnegan and implant it into his eyes? (He gets obitos eye to go to Kamuiland and get Madaras eyes) This is all his master plan to become Final Villain U O E N O

Its because his plan was to awaken the fabled Rinnegan and theorized Sharingan leads to it. Considering he was doing all his Hashi experimentation, it makes sense he theorized Sharingan + Senju DNA yielded Rinnegan. And I don't think his knowledge and understanding extended to Kaguya, so no he stopped at normal Rinnegan.

He's picky for a reason. Only certain Uchiha bodies (OP Uchihas like Madara, Itachi, Sasuke, etc.) - and bodies in general (typically OP people) - can contain his soul for a life-time, rather than a measly 3 years.

The answer is simple, when transplanting eyes such as the byukugan or sharingan, the 1 receiving the eye can not choose to activate/deactivate the transplanted eye.. Uses up chakra while activated, kakashi Ao and Obito all had their eyes covered ( Obitos left eye for instance) so not to use up chakra when the eyes usage wasn't needed.. OrochimRu would be able to activate /Deactivate the sharingan while having sasuke's Uchiha body and while being able to retain his own powerful and sexy eyes
