Pretty much what everyone has already said, No Ninja is squeaky clean. People call the Uchiha evil which is just retarded but the Senju did things just as unsavoury.

History is written by the victors, doesnt necissarily mean it was won honorably. I can just see the 2nd using Edo on the battlefield to sacrifice enemy ninja to resurrect and control past ninja of his choosing. Litterally making Ninja into weapons and not people.

to the thread maker, sadistic means that he Enjoyed doing the sacrifice thing over and over again for no reason and to innocent people , which is not Tobirama's case, in fact, Tobirama invented the jutsu but he may got just ninjas, From the enemy ranks, the latter was sentenced to death, so instead of hanging the guy from the neck, they just made him more of a use .

You are placing Edo tensei as an evil or bad Jutsu, but that is because we have two examples of it being used for evil, and plus the fact that they are not human, and dead should stay dead.

I strongly believe the reason Tobirama researched and developed it was to Bring back Mawaki, and Dan. These people are precious to him as well as Lady Tsunade which seems to be the only Senju left at the time, after Hashi died. But again it is just a speculation, but it's the only one I see that would make sense. Because I do not believe tobirama has any evilness in him.
