Something that seems so obvious now...

Recently, I decided to reread the whole Naruto vs Sasuke during part 1. In Sasuke's flashback about Itachi, it was soooo obvious that Itachi was a double agent for Konoha and that the Uchiha were planning something.

Their dad constantly talked about "meetings" and he was happy when Itachi became an ANBU because he was now the "pipeline" between the Uchiha and Konoha. This is really the page that gives it all away

Also the fact that Itachi completed his "secret mission" wearing the ANBU uniform and Konoha headband made it obvious that he was doing this for the village.

I never even suspected anything was up back in the day, I thought he really did kill the Uchiha to test his "capacity" but in hindsight it's obvious that it was a mission from Konoha. What are you guys' thoughts?

I think many of us understood that even before shippuden, i mean what would be the point of fugaku being mysterious with itachi and mentioning him being the connection between the uchiha and the village.

Its always that way, whenever a big mystery is finally revealed then when you reread the earlier chapters it becomes almost embarrassingly obvious.

I saw this as well, the most meaningful thing that I can remember is when it a chi was crying because of the choices he was faced with. The pressure that the Uchiha put on him and the guilt the village put on him. Sasuke lewd a life or lies because of the choices that itachi was forced to make.
