Something strange i noticed about one piece

Luffys crew wants to sail all the way to the end of the grandline and then find the one piece and become the king of the pirates but one thing, shanks crew sailed from east blue to the grandline 10 years ago, what are they doing, haven´t their jouney ended already? Is the grand line really that big that 10 years isn´t enough? I know he´s one of the yonkous that rule the new world but has he really seen it all? Yeah he has with roger crew lol!

If he has really seen it all then why does he bother? Settle down on a good island you spotted, why is he still a pirate if there are no more adventures, that just tells me that there are more adventures and him being a yonkou is just a title granted to the strongest of the new world who has conquered most islands so far.

Whitebeard sailed the seas for most of his life so what the hell have he been doing, he´s been on many adventures, what has he been doing all this time and one more thing, what if someone finds the one piece before luffy and the others, pirates all over the world set sail to the grandline 20 years before luffy did, can you really afford to wait that long?

If the grandline really is so big that the adventures don´t stop even after 20 years then i will not accept luffy and his crew sailing from one island to the other and suddently reach somewhere and find the one piece cuz of a whim or a clue they got from somebody.

As for the guy who made this thread... Shanks' goal never was to become Pirate King. Neither was Whitebeard. I don't remember if Shanks had any goal or so, but he's just happy being a Yonkou (and partying).

As for Whitebeard, he always clearly stated he had no interest at all in treasure or titles. All he wanted was a family, and he found that on his crew. Watch the war again if you don't believe me, or at least the part about Ace joining Whitebeard.

The only people who showed interest in becoming Pirate King are Luffy and Blackbeard (and presumably, Kidd and the other supernovas, save Killer).

Oda is a great mangaka and i hope he adresses that little issue, i´m sure he´ll do something better then that but this is what the series has pointed to so far.

And I don't think it got boring and all they did was sail from island to island. They are Yonkou, you know, they don't just sail like Luffy or other rookies do. Both Shanks and Whitebeard have islands to protect, people to keep safe from pirate riots, for example Fishman Island. And they have to keep the power in the New World balanced together with Kaido and Big Mom.

the most inteligent thing ive heard all day this is exactly what i think shanks bet his arm on luffy cause he saw the same thing in him that he saw in his captain shanks knows better then anyone besides rayleigh or the Sh that luffy is gonna be the next pirate king

It's not strange. Don't forget that there are several paths to take when getting to the last island, so there'd be many adventures to explore. Not to mention a lot of the islands take a while to set the Log pose, as shown in the Little Garden arc which would take a year there. Also for a while Shanks and his crew did settle down, around the time when Luffy got his first bounty, and threw a party for him, and forced Mihawk to get drunk.

That is not true man. If the Navy sends in the big guns (1 admiral + back up) 99% of the pirates are dead.

Only guys like Whitebeard, Rayleigh, Shanks and some more have a chance of surviving but in fact they can only lose. The marines will hunt them and their family and crew. Even though they're strong they don't like fighting of admirals on their free sunday afternoon.
