Something seems odd about RDS

As we well know the Reaper Death Seal is a forbidden jutsu of the Uzumaki clan
We know that it kills the user. And seals the victim
In instances in which the user has stretched themselves too far, they can seal only part of a person
Now in the case of Orochimaru it's a given that his soul arms were sealed.

But Orochimaru , Jiraiya, Kabuto and seemingly Tsunade all believed she could fix his arms. In fact, Orochimaru and Kabuto said she was the only one who could

So how exactly did they think she would fix it? It seems that Orochimaru thought medical jutsu was the way as she almost killed him via medical jutsu
Could it have been though that the reason he trusted her attack was because as a descendant of the Uzumaki clan and the world's best medical ninja that she is very formidable with fuuinjutsu.
So my question then is why was Tsunade sought out as the first cure for RDS. No one had a doubt that she could do it.
Is it because RDS can be outdone by top tier medical jutsu (but if that is the case could Kabuto have done it before Itachi sealed him), or was it because Orochimaru trusted her insight into fuuinjutsu.

I imagine that tsunade would be able to bring Orochimaru's arms into the state it was after he used his living corpse reincarnation jutsu, meaning arms made of healthy flesh yet still unable to mold chakra...

Orochimaru had no knowledge on RDS before searching thru Uzumaki scrolls(he said it himself), so he couldn't know if Tsunade could heal him or not. It's just that he thought she had the best chance since she is the best medical ninja. It's like everyone thought she could heal Lee but after she came she realised that she can't, well something like this

I don't recall A having his hand back. It was burned to ashes by Ama but if you have proof I'd like to see it. I most likely missed the page.

Oh, then I must be mistaken...? (I also was refering to the OP when saying "he must have"), case ya thought I was talking about Oro must have.
