his very first thought was to go save naruto, because as he says
1. Naruto can't resist IT
2. If Naruto and himself die, all hope is lost

we don't know yet whether Naruto can resist IT, but we can concur that it is sasuke's belief that both him and naruto are necessary to defeat madara

sasuke's actions i believe helped show insight to his character and raises some questions
1. sasuke only seems to be worried about naruto falling under IT, he doesn't care about anyone else including sakura and kakashi, which makes me wonder if he cares about any of the other shinobi on the battlefield
2. sasuke seems to only be worried about naruto because he knows that he needs naruto's help to defeat madara, which makes me wonder what naruto actually means to sasuke

i think all this may reveal some truth to what might happen after the war

(also, kishi shows interesting contrast when naruto wants to go out and help hinata/other people under IT, but sasuke doesn't seem to be concerned with them)

Added: This is not an attack at sasuke's charecter, i think he did everything right in the situation by going to save naruto, it's more about does he actually care about naruto and his comrades, or does he care about defeating madara

Sasuke is concerned for the world and the people, he is just more logical than Naruto. Naruto is driven by his emotions, Sasuke is too but he isn't blindly stupid as Naruto.

Sasuke isn't concerned about anyone else because he knows there's nothing he can do right now except defeat Madara. He knows full-well that only he and Naruto possess the power to beat him since they both gained power ups and something from the Sage of Six Paths himself.

He's just being rational, he knows the threat is too great to take on alone.

Well Naruto is the only one Sasuke should truly be concerned about in that situation. If he had to choose between Naruto and sakura + Kakashi, obviously Nardo is the better choice.

in the *********** version it says that it'll be the end of everything, which it would be it's a fact if naruto or sasuke dies that madara wins and IT goes forever, sasuke cares about the world but we don't know who he actually cares about

Sasuke is a practical mind, he helps Naruto now since he is essential for Madara's defeat. Not wanting to help others for now is only logical now because with just a small mistake the game will be over.

im upset naruto isnt immune to IT. its one thing if only sasuke was immune since he has the eye and naruto doesnt, but since the edo tenseis are immune then naruto should be too since unlike them naruto has six paths powers
