Something most people overlooked?

After reading today's chapter I noticed something about the "final stab" Hashirama landed upon Madara. Now before reading, I'm not saying that Madara would've won but judging from what was stated it is possible that Madara lost on purpose.....or perhaps it was just a manga error, or maybe I too overlooked something.

Here we see Madara being surprised by Hashirama's Mokuton Clone....

And here when he does the same thing to Tsunade he clearly quotes


"It's Hashirama's Mokuton Clone. How perfect....I was the only one who could see through this as his enemy in the old days"

Some people have already said that it was because he had his sharingan turned off......but why would he deactivate it if he knew Hashirama could use the Mokuton Clone? He wasn't even careful about it.

So if Madara could see through the technique, then how was Hashirama able to sneak up on him with the wooden clone?

So either that's a manga error, or that Madara let Hashirama win, or something else that I'm not sure of.

That's what I was wondering. It doesn't add up, so the logical answer is this was either done on purpose, it was a genjutsu or Madara was too prideful to admit how he lost. lol

I agree. I think he wanted everyone to think he was dead so he could continue his plan in secret.

Note, it probably wasn't genjutsu because when Madara was with Obito he showed him a sscar on his chest from his battle with Hashi.

Posted a million times today.......his EMS was not active so he did not see though it. it says he can see though that jutsu with his eye jutsu. but with no jutsu active he failed..

If you look in the same manga page you will see that Madara does not have his Sharingan active. So he could not see that it was a clone!

However, Does that mean that madara didn't plan it? i don't know, but i am sure kishi will elaborate!

From my point of view Madara purposely deactivated Susanoo and then deactivated the EMS but when did he get hashirama dna

It was there last fight they didnt have any chakra left... So they went to clashing swords I guess.... Madara isn't stupid for not using the sharing an against hashi
