So…Obito has Wood Release, as half of his body is made from Hashi cells…so why did he take that hit and not just create a giant wall of wood in front of Naruto and Sasuke…?

He should be dead already, hes out of chakra.
He lives through getting the 10 tails extracted from him, lives through using rinne tensei, lives through Madara stabbing him through his chest/removing his eye, and is still able to stand after spamming double kamui to find Sasuke.
