If you remember correctly the scene where tsunade, jiraiya, kakashi, and yamato were talking in the recovery room, j-man said that the necklace around narutos neck is used to surpress the nine tails.

in the same sense, doesnt this also work the same way the beads of subjection works in inuyasha?

No those beads don't surpress his demon side it's just to stop him if he were to try and hurt someone

Ehh, maybe?
I'm guessing (I haven't really watched much Inuyasha) that the beads completely suppress Inuyasha's demonic side alone.
The First Hokage's necklace does not do exactly the same, as you still need Hashirama's technique and the necklace in order to try reverting Naruto back to a normal state.

They're similar to a small extent, but not largely.

Think of Naruto's necklace as a way to keep someone from transforming into a demon, and Inuyasha's necklace as a way to tame or control a demon.
