Something I never understood about Orochimaru

So when Sasuke "killed" him, he was sick, and his body was rejecting him, which is because he was reaching his 3 year time limit on the body, correct?

How come now he is perfectly fine? I understand he got his arms back via the mask etc, but shouldn't his body be rejecting him and making him ill?

Orochimaru is like "The Thing" from John Carpenters 1982 movie. He can be in many places at one time and each body is whole and can do what they want. The current Orochimaru came from Anko and was fresh, allowing him to take a new body whenever he wanted. In this case, White Zetsu clone. He couldn't take Sasuke's body because Oro wasn't strong enough to do so.

Prior to getting his new body? I'd say it's most likely because the cycle wasn't reset. And the cycle or jutsu were the cause of his bad health. Orochimaru somehow formed his own body when resurrected (both) times.

Even without the new Zetsu body the time between Sasuke defeating Orochimaru and the war was only a little over a year.
