Something I just noticed about The Forest of Death arc

Which teams finish the test first? Gaara's team and Team 8. Gaara's team success is easily explained by them getting a scroll early and Gaara's sheer power overwhelming any opposition, but Team 8 isn't apparently that superior... Except they are heavily geared toward recon missions and detecting dangers, and know Fire Country's fauna very well. Of course they were the first team to get a scroll (by simply standing in a specific place and wait for an enemy team to get neutralized by giant leeches) and arrived at the tower second: they were the one team trained specifically for such an occurrence, and the only reason they didn't arrive first was because they decided to let Gaara cool down.

Oh well. In a real life situation you can't rely on nature to take your opponents down for you. I commend their ingenuity though.

Team 8 : Kiba, Hinata, Shino..

They can sniff out enemies, view from a larger distance, and send bugs to gather info on their surroundings.
Seems like they would do pretty well in a forest.

 

[Young Vongola]

A team of 3 sensors from Konoha's noble clan. Probably the most skilled team of rookies. Big shock that they finished before most..lol

I'm pretty sure it went like this.

Kiba sniffed out the enemy
Hinata confirmed the location
Shino laid the ground work for his bugs to fk people up, because he's sneaky like that.
