K I'm Catholic (thought I'd point it out) and there is this one thing that always pissed me off. Whenever I walked into church, I would come in with sweatpants and a nice clean T-Shirt. Nothing wrong with that right? Wrong. According to Catholic teachers I would have on Sunday (I'm so happy I'm done with that BS), wearing sweatpants is disrespectful. Yes Yes wearing clothing is so horrible please punish me. I would also get multiple stares (some very hideous) from people sitting down. And I think I'll just point out how a majority of them were Latino. I thought it was preached to not judge other people.

Another thing I discussed a long time ago was about how sometimes I would come late to mass by like 5-10 Minutes. Yet all these people tell me to not come at all if I'm not going to "respect" the lord. I thought coming to mass was my way to respect him? I didnt know coming late was such a huge sin. Heck they should be grateful I came at all. This is the other thing that always Irritates me
Wow they don't sound very "catholic". But you should remember that it only matters about how you feel about your religion, they don't decide what's disrespectful in Catholicism.

I simply wear clean denim pants and long sleeves. No one cares.

Just shed away your religion then. I only believe in Lord Krishna and his philosophies and don't worship any god. He said, one should either believe in himself/herself or god, not both, and should just do his/her work without any selfish motives.

Just like going to work, be on time. :)

Regarding clothes, smart casuals would be fine. :)

I don't think you are a Catholic, you are just pretending to be one. Maybe your true problem is why you were circumcised!! They have violated your human rights. Circumcision should be a choice.

Um, actually that is kind of disrespectful to wear something so informal on a day of worship.

Not very religious, but I wouldn't wear sweats to any type of formal event, like a wedding or something.

Well you are going there to honor God so you should dress up decently just like you would if going to some really special event.

that's just man-made tradition that existed even In Jesus Time on the earth, Remember? in Luke 11:38-39

''And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner. And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.''

GOD looks at the inside of you, when you come to church not the outside,

Don't mind those people, once you do what's right in GOD'S eyes, that's all that matters

plus mass is not even biblical
