Hello everyone!

I've been thinking (such a rare occurrence!) a bit about Obito's motives and his fall to the dark side (admit it, you've had similar thoughts, right?).

So, now we have Obito running towards Kakashi and Rin, who are currently facing a bunch of Mist ninja alone for whatever reason. As we know, Rin is dead and Obito blames Kakashi - But why?

If she dies while Kakashi is otherwise preoccupied and Obito's WATCHING, how does that make it Kakashi's fault? Would that really be enough for him to drag that freaky body of his back to Madara and go full emo?

Something just doesn't seem right. Why are Kakashi and Rin alone? Why would Obito blame Kakashi for them being overwhelmed? Why wouldn't he do anything if he's watching? (He probably awoke the Mangekyo so he must have seen her die, right?) Why wouldn't he lose it and attack Kakashi right then and there?

What do you think? Something's fishy is definitely going on.

I think the Zetsu with Obito inside it will kill Rin while Obito can do nothing but watch from inside. Obito will then be mad at Kakashi for not being able to stop the Zetsu he's trapped inside.

Then he'll kill the Zetsu he's in.

And make a mask out of it.

if he attacked kakashi right then and there kakashi would have fodderised obito right then and there. as for obito blaming kakashi if he was there he could have helped him out since he has symbiot powers now (has anyone else noticed kishi is ripping off spider man? xd). Obito can't blame anything on anyone if he was there to help out.

Of course Madara is setting the whole thing up. Kakashi LET Rin die, he didn't kill her himself. It might be the other Zetsu is going to kill Rin.

On another note, The Bloody Mist may be the very result of Obito's anger towards Kakashi for this. Who knows?

It's not obvious that Madara's setting it up. It's possible, but not obvious. Hell he's even asleep at the moment.

And "letting her die" is the wrong term for being unable to defend someone when facing superior numbers. We know he's ready to sacrifice his life for Rin, so it's not like he fled and left her there, most likely.

His motives are probably caused by Kakashi being unable to save Rin, but he doesn't actually blame Kakashi from what I understand. Maybe at first, but why would he after basically admitting that the cursed world they live in is at true fault? It definitely seems like he changed his motives and went into deep speculation, changing into a "realistic" point of view instead of the whole "morals over regulations" type of attitude. Basically, Rin's death was the evidence Obito needed to conclude that heroes can't be trusted to save everybody nor save hopes and dreams from being destroyed.

Who said dreaming people can't cause trouble?:)

I agree, but just to surmise with Obito's point of view I said let. It seems very odd that they would send two young shinobi on their own mission against multiple enemies after just months ago (based on Obito's growth) lost a member of their team.
