It's possible that Izanagi was used back then. The only reason I dont believe it, is because it hasnt been stated yet. It's been dozens of chapters since Tobi killed Konan and Izanagi isnt something new anymore. If he had used it back then with Amaterasu, I believe he would have monologued about it in a flashback sytle...

i will go over all post but for now, tobi did not lose it's light after using it againts konan nor amaterasu.. he perfected it, and anyway it's stated that eye lose it's light permanently and close for good, tobi now do have two functional eyes, right? yes it might be he transplanted them afterwards and some mistake made by kishi.. but for me it's pretty clear he did escape amaterasu with izanagi one proof is sound sfx: zwhooooo everytime he uses dimensional transfer or use his S/T techs but it didn't make a sound time when amaterasu burn him. other was it was clear hit, while it maked contact S/T jutsu can't save u. proof for that is that itachi think so. and both times it showed he should be dead by opponents knowing how to strike plan ahead etc, but both failed coz that secret wich is izanagi. how one could foresee that. and anyway im not sure did sage create bijuus with izanagi alone but what comes to madara, im pretty confident he use izanagi to "create" tobi wich have unique abilities like perfect body might be some variation of shodaime's tech use regeneration without seals. and zetsu is plan clone white half have techs unique to first other somewhat same to uchiha. too much to show that he wasnt just random shinobi.

izanagi must be yin yang release coz both genes are needed! therefore it can make shape and give life to it! and izanagi just make that dream reality, not just escape death that stands for perfecting it.

see there's one major flaw to this? the izanagi is not what the sage had it's a much lesser form of the all things creation technique that the sage had meaning that it can't effect any or all things outside of the user take notes from the danzo fight and the tobi fight with konan they never tied to eliminate there opponents by wishing them harm or broken bones etc they only used it to escape harm to them self's b/c thats all it can do. this means that the izanagi can only help the user personally it wouldn't be able to kill someone like wish them away or turn them old etc. only the sage had power with the all things creation technique to effect things outside of his own personal vortex as in to create or turn things into anything he wanted

yeah, it's not been directly stated that's why only handful of readers get that. it's only explanation wich make sense.

to rockgod yeah i agree with some extend but if it could example make opponent explode it would be just too strong maybe that's why there are limits.. wich are with izanagi u can't change someone only do something entirely new... to me it's not clear enough that creation of all things and izanagi is that different. i know narutowiki can be wrong too, and anime screw things up all the time. for example hiraishin no jutsu level 2 wasnt simply teleport kunai he threw it changed direction 180 degrees ..

how so? im just guy who believe theory i write up. even if few will change minds or realize things coz this thread i consirder my job well done. there are those who disagree and im fine with that

Izanagi can only affect yourself, can we ****ing agree with this. Like seriously, it has been stated many times in the manga. You use it on YOURSELF. Tobi was saying Danzo's was incomplete because, first of all he didn't know how LONG it was going to stay active, and it was only able to stay active for ONE minute. Now let's think. Think real hard. Obviously during Tobi's fight with Konan, she had enough exploding tags to blow up for 10 minutes. Tobi can only stay intangible for FIVE minutes. So Tobi would have had to use Izanagi for a full FIVE minutes. Not ONE like Danzo. So his was perfected more than Danzos.

Secondly, since Izanagi can only affect oneself, YOU CANNOT CREATE ANYTHING WITH IT. It is COMPLETELY different than what the sage used. It was said that it is a LESSER technique than what the sage used to create the bijuu. LESSER tech, and that it was BASED off of his tech, which is CREATION OF ALL THINGS.

One more thing, about the Amaterasu that Sasuke hit Tobi with. Yes he could have went intangible, he also could have used Izanagi and transplanted another eye. But why couldn't he have just put out the flames himself? We see Sasuke and Itachi putting out Amaterasu flames with their eyes, why not Tobi? Maybe the thing Tobi hid from Itachi was his MS. Yes Itachi knew that the real Madara has MS, but he was dealing with Tobi. Even if he didn't know Tobi wasn't the real Madara, he knew that he was just a shell of his former self most likely, and maybe Tobi said he couldn't use MS anymore or something, or since he never uses it Itachi thought he couldn't. I don't know, the whole thing is just weird.
