[Question] Someone please explain Higurashi to me

Ok, so now that that's out of the way.
I want someone to explain Higurashi to me, I'm currently at episode 6 and I don't understand anything.

In episode 1 we see how Keiichi is killing his friends with a bat, so naturally it's one of those shows that vaguely shows something close to the end and shows the story afterwards.

Anyway, Keiichi killed his friends and he is also dead now, but I'm at episode 6 now and I just don't understand it anymore.
Everyone is back alive, seems like they went back in time and suddenly the entire storyline is different now that we have Mion and Shion, and both have somewhat of an alter ego.

So, is there an explanation as to why they are suddenly in an alternate dimension with an alternate timeline?

Well you can't understand an anime by 6 episodes alone you have to look more into it I mean take Naruto most people are up to date and are STILL confused. Don't worry just look more into it I have no idea what you're talking about but try looking more into the episodes.

It's a great series!

It mainly has two parts; Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (26 ep.) and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai (24 ep.).

You'll get what's happening in the later episodes of the first half. The second part explains WHY.

the second season of higurashi is one of my favorite anime and is the only anime beside clannad after story to make me cry

Basically the group is stuck in a time loop, and they must resolve several issues to resolve the time loop. its really intense and crazy
