I've been thinking about this for probably too long, but I'm having trouble figuring out how Obito made his 6 path edos into jinchuurikis as well. I figure it has to be something to do with the chakra receivers but still I'm not getting it. If anyone can help out that'd be great.

The reason I wondered was because of Madara not being able to to become Juubi's Jinchuuriki due to him being an edo.

It's the same how Nagato ended up with 6 other sets of rinnegan, while the summons received rinnegan too--chakra receivers.

So in other words the edo Jinchuurikis weren't really used as edos? Or am I getting that wrong too?

they were used as rinnegan techs, but beforee that as edo.

they wouldnt have had to be edo'es because if it is a rinnegan tech, they would hav been like the six pains

It's because the edo jins already were synched with the Mazo. That's why they were able to keep their bijuus, because the chakra stakes that obito used bound the power of the biju to the bodies of the jinchuriki.

It's mostly due to having their eyes linked together again. They're still dead shinobi under orders, but they have the added quirk of being Edo.

My theory is that Edo tensei does have a few weaknesses. The powers of Rinnegan(we saw with Obito), Kotoamatsukami(saw this with Itachi), Chakra control(as with Hashirama + maybe Tobirama) and Fuinjutsu(seen with Madara + Hiruzen).
