Let me carefully explain this to you. Madara Uchiha, programmed his Sharingan to cast Izanagi in order to save himself from death if he was to lose to Hashirama. After his presumed death, Tobirama sealed away his body and left it for research later. However, after the Izanagi was cast, Madara came back to life and placed a Kage Bushin (clone) in the coffin in place of his presumed dead body. That is why the Manga says that he replaced his corpse. (The clone took the place of Madara's corpse from when Madara was dead.)

My thoughts exactly bro. I thought of making this thread but didnt have time. Now to the point: first, narutopedia is fan made so the info will sometimes be incorrect. Secondly, when the user dies, the clone will also disappear. Then how in the world did kabuto find madaras body!? There is no friggin way that clone survived even after madara died. What do u think minamoto-san!!

there were 2 madara's runing around bro....the madara who fought hashirama didn't die...he was just in memenetary death like sabuza's...and yet this didn't stop the izanagi madara autoactivated from working...wich created a 2nd madara...2 madara's were alive..but with weak wounded body...madara's goal now is to restore his body back to its golden age...by having some1 use rinnetensei on him...one of the madara's died (rikudo madara)...whilethe other madara sealed himself within obito and used him as a weaker vessel (tobimadara)

Its as simple as this. Madara was dead. He was a dead body.

He is revived. He implants hashi dna.

He creates a clone(we dont know what type), and has it play dead in replacement of his body(so nobody would know he was revived) However as tobirama is a sensor ninja, the amount of chakra the clone had, must have been so small that only someone who can actually see chakra flowing could determine it was a fake.

Meanwhile clone madara is playing dead, real madara is beginning his plot.

Sometime after clone madara is playing dead, tobirama dies. Then madara can release his clone jutsu.


Clones have never been shown to have a time limit. They can last theoretically forever, as long as they do not use up their chakra, or get injured.


This is just my take on this. We do need a little bit more information though, to really understand how things happened.

Sigh, you need to get that a Clone Technique and a Kage Bunshin are two completely DIFFERENT techniques.


Clone:

A ninjutsu that creates an intangible copy of one's own body, without any substance.

Kage Bunshin:

this technique creates copies of the user. However, these clones are corporeal instead of illusions.

The difference is the difficulty to which these can be identified from the real person. A clone is an illusion and most experienced ninja can identify which one of them is the real one from his illusion counterparts. However, the Kage Bunshin creates actual solid clones of the person and distributes his/her chakra evenly, thus, making the identification of the fakes from the real near impossible. For example, the fight between Naruto vs Neji:

If Neji, an experienced user of the Byakugan, was not able to distinguish Kage Bunshin's from the original Naruto, then how could Tobirama have managed that? He's known for his Sensor skills, but even Sensors cannot distinguish the fakes from the real person if their chakra is evenly distributed. What's harder is that because Naruto had so much chakra he could easily divide up his chakra so that each clone had the same chakra as the original one at its peak.

Time to end this thread:

Madara left a clone, and a sharingan can't tell the difference between a real body and a clone. This means that sensorial ninjas as Tobirama couldn't best Madara's ability. He just can't tell.

Also, most people right now would ask if a "dead body" can hold chakra, well... the answer is "yes". How do you think Sasori could have a Marionette of the Third Kazekage with the Magnet Kekkei Genkai in first place? That's all the proof you need to know about dead bodies and chakra.

Finally: Viz translation clearly states that Madara left a Shadow Doppelganger (which means Kage Bunshin, "Shadow Clone"). This means that the body left in the coffin was not a real body.

As Madara did not implant Hashirama's flesh in this context "yet", it was impossible for him to have access to Rinnegan powers (to summon the Mazou and use Zetsus for this mean).

Meaning that the possibility of the creation of a second Madara just after his Izanagi's activation is impossible.
