peaceful posted a theory here earlier,

that made me wonder and i went and found some theorys myself from the same author ordycitizen from narutofan forums.

naruto the series are full of mysteries, the powers of the characters as far as we know are based on japanese mythology, the creatures based on japanese mythology, sasuke is based on egyptian mythology, naruto is based on stuff from the bible and hebrew stuff and so on and so on, and some people have done a brilliant job finding out of the secrets.
He has connected the different characters from naruto to different mythologies, egyptian, hebrew and so on.
Here is one I liked,

Introductory

Masashi Kishimoto develops his manga main character Uzumaki Naruto to become a savior. Naruto’s savior status has been confirmed during some chapters backward. This savior-ism actually is a general and common concept found in mangas, and other fictional works. But, what many people don’t realize is Kishimoto has been providing hidden symbolism (encrypted algorithm) within certain pages of the manga regarding the main character Uzumaki Naruto. The first part of the theory acted like a path finder, a reconnaissance that helped us in directing the next course of further exploration. It was necessary because the idea of savior-ism (rescuer of the world) is not monopolized only by a single society; it actually exists in almost every civilization ever dwell on earth. As a result of the first part, our further discussion has narrowed into specific subject of the most well known messianic figure in the world. Uzumaki Naruto (initial: UN) is exactly like The Character from The Book.

Concept of Messiah

Messianism is Judaism's most profoundly original idea.

Martin Buber (1878 - 1965)
Austrian-born Israeli philosopher of religion and Zionist.

UN is the destined child. According to the Toad Sage prophecy, he will be the one who save the shinobi-world from an ultimate disaster. It is Mashashi Kishimoto’s privilege if he prefers to use “the destined child”, just like when the Wachowski Brothers used “the one” for Neo in the Matrix movie. In essence both Naruto and Neo are representing a same ideal character, they are the savior who will save mankind, and it’s not overestimating to consider them as the messiah.

In dictionary, the word ‘messiah”, with the small “m”, means somebody regarded as or claiming to be a savior or liberator of a country, people, or the world. Meanwhile, the word “Messiah”, with the capital “M”, means “Jesus Christ” (in Christianity) and “King of Jews” (in Hebrew Bible), an anointed king who will lead the Jews back to the land of Israel and establish justice in the world.

The concept of the Messiah combines the Hebrew ideal of a Davidic king with the priestly tradition exemplified by Moses. Christians have also seen in certain passages in the Old Testament Book of Isaiah a third characteristic of the Messiah, that of the suffering servant (see Isaiah 53). In Christian theology Jesus is seen as the fulfillment of all three concepts.

Judaism suggests that the Messiah must be from Davidic lineage. That’s why when Jesus entered Jerusalem he was welcomed by the citizens with an epic welcoming and spreading palm branches as a carpet before him (just like when King David had a triumphal entry to Jerusalem during the good ol’ days of Israel). Jesus and his disciples entered the city of Jerusalem, where people were gathering for the Jewish festival of Passover. As word of Jesus’ arrival spread through the city, it aroused great excitement because many believed he might be the long-awaited messiah. As you might remember Jesus was having lineage of King David both from his mother Mariah and his father Joseph. Many people of Israel at that time believed that Jesus will deliver them from foreign bondage (Roman Empire) and restore the glory of Israel. Jesus was also called him self as the Son of Man and his disciples had called him Son of David. Judeo Christian follower believed that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah.

Miracles

They don't always happen when you ask
And it's easy to give in to your fears
But when you're blinded by your pain
Can't see your way straight through the rain
Small but still, resilient voice
Says love is the relief

There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe
When You Believe - Mariah Carey (Ft. Whitney Houston)
[OST The Prince of Egypt]

Discussion about messiah is not complete without exposing the miracles. Miracle is extraordinary and astonishing happening that is attributed to the presence and action of an ultimate or divine power. Miracles play as proof or evidence of authenticity that the messiah is sent by God.

The miracles of Christ recorded in the Gospels are an integral part of the New Testament narrative and include raising the dead, transforming water into wine, feeding thousands with a small amount of food, casting out demons, and healing the sick and deformed. Jesus of Nazareth had been observed showing miracles and other extraordinary talent during his life.

Masashi Kishimoto is being suspected to assimilate Jesus’s into one of his main character UN. Therefore, it is necessary to find whether he also assimilated Jesus’s miracles. And it turns out he did. Investigation has detected UN shown the miracles of Jesus in symbolical fashion, hidden inside our manga distribution system.

Raising the dead
UN has symbolically revived Gaara after the Shukaku extraction. Gaara was dead after the Akatsuki extracted Shukaku from his body. Together with grandma Chiyo, Naruto had brought back life to Gaara. You can see this in chapter 279.

Healing the sick and deformed

UN’s physical healing “miracle” appeared in more symbolic and indirect involvement. He did not making direct contact to the sick and cured them. He simply brought them the cure. This happened when UN and Jiraiya succeeded in bringing back Tsunade to Konoha. Tsunade cured Kakashi, Uchiha Sasuke (US) and did a success operation on Rock Lee’s deformed body. Although he wasn’t the doctor, Naruto actually did a crucial role in bringing the doctor.

The genuine healing talent of UN is to heal people’s heart. UN probably has compassion, the ability to feel humane and altruistic feelings. This talent appeared in several events in the manga; during the wave country arc, in the fight with Neji at the chuunin test, in the mission of bringing Tsunade back, and in the fight with Gaara. He even changed Konohamaru’s way of thinking of becoming a hokage, there’s no easy way to reach one’s dreams.

Cast out Demons
Another miracle we would link to is casting out Demons. On a humorous taste UN not only succeeded in casting out demon he eventually made the demon cried. This is happened in the wave country arc during the bridge building. He did made the Demon Zabuza cried by his touching speech.

One of the original contexts of the casting out demon miracle is when Jesus of Nazareth secured a young woman name Mary Magdalene from evil spirits. (Luke 8:2). Now we have an inquiry whether UN proven to be once secured a young girl from evil spirit. As a matter of fact he did. This happened when Haruno Sakura (HS) was under Gaara’s threat. At that time, Gaara’s been taken over by the Shukaku and almost killed Sakura (in Chapter 129-137). UN managed to cast out Shukaku and saved HS from demise.

Feeding thousand people with small amount of food

The next miracle we’d like to examine is the “feeding thousand people with small amount of food”. Among most popular Jesus’ miracles is the multiplication of food, such as loaves and fishes. Unfortunately this has never happened in the manga. UN has never been shown to perform this miracle both in obvious or in symbolical manner. But, has never happened doesn’t mean it can’t happen.

Hypothetically, performing the miracle of food multiplication is not really a problem for UN. The key is through his jutsu, the tajuu kage bunshin. Every time he performs kage bunshin he creates real clones of himself with all the gears or equipments fully cloned too. Now if he replaces the shuriken pouch and the scroll bag with food, only require small amount of them, he’ll actually able to produce a large sum of food enough to feed thousand just by using his tajuu kage bunshin.

Turn Water into wine
This is the hardest part of the miracle needed to examine. Its nearly doesn’t exist. UN had a conversation with Gama boss about sake drink inauguration. It was about having ceremonial sake drink first before they made a contract is improbable because Naruto is not old enough. It will show a bad example for kids that actually being the selling target of the manga.

But if you take a look back on chapter 116 opening page you’ll get an amazing discovery. Kishimoto Masashi performed this miracle in symbolic way.

As you can see, UN is carrying a kettle on his back. Normally a kettle is filled with water, it used to boil water. But the situation described on the picture is simply not match. They’re like going to have a party. As many people would agree plain water is not enough for a party or a celebration, they need some booze. Well, it looks like they’re not getting any wine for whatever celebration they have. Unless, off course, if UN able to turn the water inside the kettle into wine.

Symbols of Christ Appeared

Symbols are a language. It’s a medium to conduct messages. Human, and maybe animals, have been communicating with symbols. Our daily conversation is basically a symbols trading activity. Symbols may appear as simple as an alphabet letter or in more sophisticate level such as a ceremonial.

Through many centuries symbols have been used also for religious matter. There are religions and sects that recorded to absorb symbolism in their rituals, such as Hinduism, Taoism, Buddhism, and Christianity. Several others such as Jewish and Islam are strictly forbid using symbols to describe God and/or the prophet. In Jewish, as written in the Exodus, God forbids the children of Israel to make any image or statues that represent Him. Muslims aren’t allowed to make statues or imagery of God and the prophet Muhammad as it will count as heretic or worst an infidel. In exchange Muslims promote calligraphy to channel sense of art of its follower.

Christianity seems more moderate in handling symbolism that refers to Jesus Christ. Christianity has grown into a big religion. People from different culture and civilization from time to time have been following the teaching of a young Jew namely Jesus of Nazareth. Many of them developed symbols of iconography that refer to Jesus. Among the ever known symbols that refer to Jesus are: the cross, pelican, and fish.

The Cross of the Christ
The first and the most well known symbol of Christ is a cross. Apparently, it appeared in page 15 of chapter 33 Naruto manga.

As if they were baptized with the snow fallen upon them, Zabuza and Haku gained two symbols of Christ above their grave.

Christ’s symbol of cross not appeared in that chapter only. Symbol of cross has been performed several times by UN. In fact you’ll see them more in the future. Apparently, the cross symbol already integrated within Naruto’s kage bunshin no jutsu. Every time he cast the jutsu he will perform a cross shaped hand seal, please check your manga copy again.

The Jesus Fish

Kishimoto Masashi’s Naruto chapter 253 opening page

Among the most famous symbols that refer to Jesus Christ is Ichthys, the Jesus fish. Ichthys or Ichthus is the ancient and classical Greek word for fish. It has been used by Christians as a secret symbol under the oppression of the Roman Empire. The use of the Ichthys symbol by early Christians appears to date from the end of the 1st century AD.

Ichthus is the Latinized spelling of Greek’s ΙΧΘΥΣ (Iota, Chi, Theta, Upsilon and Sigma). It was an acronym for Iesous Christos, Theou Uios, Soter which literary means “Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.

This symbol was used primarily amongst Christians of the early church years (1st and 2nd century A.D.) The symbol was introduced from Alexandria, Egypt; which at the time was a very heavily populated seaport. It was the port in which many goods were brought over from the European continent. Because of this, it was first used by the peoples of the sea as a symbol of a familiar deity, in this case, Jesus Christ. The symbol was later used as a means of identifying or acknowledging a fellow believer in Christ without the need for any verbal communication being exchanged.

Some of the events in manga have shown us Kishimoto’s sense of humor regarding this specific symbolism of Christ. Take a look back on Kakuzu versus UN and a far leap back to chapter 60. There was a thread, titled “His name is Kakuzu a.k.a. Flying Spaghetti Monster” in the Library section. Unfortunately, the thread is now gone forever, because an angry mod had dumped it to the Konoha Landfil. The thread was about Kakuzu’s final form similarity with the Flying Spagheti Moster (FSM) ultimate being. FSM or Pastafarianism is a religion that parodied Christianity (and maybe Rastafarianism). FSM also made a parody for Jesus’ Fish with the FSM logo. And it turned out “the real slim shady” had stood up claimed for victory. Anyway, you can see by your self about the funny stuff in chapter 60.

Pelican and the fisherman

Another symbolism used by many Christians refer to Jesus Christ is pelican. Beside it, the fisherman also been used but in more seldom occasion. Several of Jesus' twelve disciples were fishermen. He commissions them with the words "I will make you fishers of men" (see also Matthew 13: 47-50 an John 21:11). The symbols made appearance in chapter 17 page 01. He must have a strange sense of humor, because, beside pelican Jesus also symbolized by his follower with fish, known as Jesus Fish.

The Pelican is a symbol of the atonement and the Redeemer and is often found in Christian murals, frescos, paintings and stained glass. The pelican was believed to wound itself in order to feed its young with its own blood. In the hymn "Adoro Te," St. Thomas Aquinas addresses the Savior with, "Pelican of Mercy cleanse me in Thy Precious Blood." Allusion is even made to this belief in "Hamlet" (act iv): "To his good friend thus wide I'll open my arms And, like the kind, life-rendering pelican, Repast them with my blood."

“….also known is the legendary pelican that fed her young on her own blood and was then called “in her piety,” being considered an emblem of Jesus Christ, who fed or redeemed his flock with his own blood.”

The Palm Branches
The most crucial symbolic appearance is the Palm branches. This occurred in chapter 382 page 8 and 10 of the manga. It has made appearance in the manga as if it was to confirm the other symbols appeared earlier. It symbolizes a triumphal entry of a savior. The symbol might have taken from the Palm Sunday celebration. The day when people of Jerusalem welcomed Jesus of Nazareth with spreading palm branches as carpet before him and became commemorate and celebrates as the Palm Sunday. The tradition’s origin can be traced back to the day when King David conquered Jerusalem and entered the city gate with the same welcoming as Jesus of Nazareth had.

“On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him and cried Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, Fear not daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt”.

This is actually a superb coincidence, if it was really a coincidence. The picture from chapter 382 describes Minato’s happy family. Minato’s wife, the sacred feminine Uzumaki Kushina (UK), was pregnant their child Naruto. UN, the future savior of shinobi world, is ready and entering the gate of the Holy Land, Konoha, through his mother’s womb. His presence glorified with the ancient symbol of King’s triumphal entry, the palm branches. As a matter of fact, that was the only palm branches decoration appearance been found through the whole chapters.

One of contents in chapter 382 is Jiraiya’s flashback on a conversation with Minato and Kushina. They were talking about Jiraiya’s book and how the couple wanted to raise their unborn child like the character in the book. However, we’re not going to focus on that. We will pay attention on the situation and setting on where the conversation occurred.

Presumably, Namikaze Minato (NM) was in position of the Hokage at that moment. The conversation took place at Minato’s house. It seems that day Minato did not work at the office. The Namikazes were having a visit of a guest and talked in rather informal and relax fashion. There is a particular day in a week when people usually don’t go to work. In that particular day people use to spend time with their family, relatives, friends or acquaintances. That day in a week would be the day of Sunday. So, considerably, the day when Jiraiya came at Minato’s house is Sunday. If we combine the Palm branches and the Sunday we’ll eventually got the “Palm Sunday”.
The first and the most well known symbol of Christ is a cross. Apparently, it appeared in page 15 of chapter 33 Naruto manga.

Christ on the Cross
(stabbed with spear by a Roman soldier)
Christ on the Cross was painted by the 17th-century Flemish artist Peter Paul Rubens in 1620, at the height of his career. The sense of movement, swirling line, and dramatic light are characteristic of Rubens’s distinctive style. This painting is now part of the collection of the Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten, Antwerp, Belgium.
(in box: the Spear of Longinus)

Spear of destiny is one of several other known names of a spear that claimed to pierce Jesus while he was on the cross. Other names given to the spear including; Holy Lance, Spear of Longinus, and the Spear of Christ.

According to the legend, it was a Roman soldier namely Longinus who stabbed the Christ with a spear. It was to make sure that Christ was already dead. Longinus stabbed Christ side and from the wound came out water and blood (John 19:34). The Spear has mentioned in the Gospel of John (19: 31-37).

This legendary spear is very influential. Historically this spear had inspired the old era Christians to commence war against Muslims in the First Crusade (Which oddly similar with the GWB decided to commence war against Iraq because of the mysterious bio-chemical weapon of mass destruction. And it turned out he did said it as a “Modern Crusade”). It’s been suggested that the spear had been changed possessions through many hands including kings and leaders of countries. The spear believed as a relic to boost power for those who posses it. It was told to have been seized by Napoleon and possessed by Adolf Hitler. The legendary of the Holy Lance has been inspiring many fictional pieces such as movies, comics, and novels.

There was a theory entitled as “Naruto’s Temporary Death”. The theory was created by an illusive theorist whose name not worth to mention (You may use the “search” function). Basically, the theory was forecasting UN will be dead and return to life again. What seems funny is that theory based on interpretation of several filler anime episode ending clips. Though most people found it as rather over-analyzed, but the idea had brought is not necessarily exaggerated. Heroic returning from death or resurrection-ism has been applied in many plots of stories.

UN is the next target of the Akatsuki. He is the host of the Kyubi designated as a jinchuuriki. Akatsuki need to extract the kyuubi from his body. There will be a ritual of extraction and sealing the kyuubi inside a large statue. This ritual most definitely will cause death to the jinchuuriki.

An Akatsuki whose name is Pein assigned to capture UN. Pein is among the masterminds behind the Akatsuki activity. He thought to have mastered incredible jutsus. He escaped death and defeated Jiraiya, his former master and one of the three legendary ninja. He was observed to use some kind of offensive tool served as a weapon that likely to resemble a spear.

Suppose UN will experience death in next chapters. What will happen? Is there any significant on why we discussing this?

There’s a possibility Kishimoto Masashi has been assimilating Christ’s into his manga character UN. He might also have tried to put symbolical message in chapter 253 opening page to represents the famous iconography of Jesus’ Fish, Ichthus.

Kishimoto probably had put something symbolic in the particular page 4 and 5 of chapter 238. He might have given us a clue on who will be Naruto’s companion if he eventually facing death.

The most crucial miracle of Christ is the Resurrection. In Matthew 28:9 Christ made appearance to Mary Magdalene after his resurrection.

Now back to our Mariah Carey song lyric above...

"But when you blinded by your Pain

Closing

Kishimoto had told us through Jiraiya’s sentences that UN grew exactly like the character from the book. The original context of “book” in Jiraiya’s words is referring to the book that he wrote, as it had been prophesied by the Great Toad. The way UN grown reminded Jiraiya of the way the main character in his book grown; they are both shared similar way of life. But, if you put another context of “the book” into the books that had been written by Matthew, John, Luke and Mark, you’ll get that “book” might have been a gospel. In dictionary Gospel means teaching of Jesus Christ and the story of his life. Jiraiya didn’t realize that he made a gospel, gospel of Jiraiya. Therefore, in chapter 193 page 4, when Hyuga Neji said “You have better eyes than me” to UN he might have told the truth, because UN possess the Eye of Providence.
