It is all fun and games till someone gets seriously injuried. Apparently the novelist might be a sasuke hater who just want to start a fifth ninja war (this time by the fans). Just for the record, I will stay out of the war but It is safe to say the novelist sucks big time and should just cut sasuke some slack and look for another character to harasss. Maybe Gaara, Kakashi, Guy, or many others. Just leave the uchiha guy alone.

Hold on son, Sasuke is afraid that Sakura is gonna be with another guy? I mean it happens to me too but this is SASUKE MOTHER F*CKING UCHIHA!
So what? Sasuke always had both a superiority and a inferiority complex. Just because he is Sasuke, doesn't mean he can't feel insecure from time to time.

It shouldn't surprise any of us.
If you read the manga you must have realized how most of the Uchiha if not all of them are unstable and weak minded individuals.
They can be manipulated easily. The Senju are much stronger mentally

It's not canon anyway, so it's about as relevant as the talking ostrich fillers.
These Sh*nden and Hiden novels are as relevant as The Last, which I also consider mostly filler, both have Kishi's sketches and input but were written by others (SP vs authors) and are part of the "new era project" and fill the gaps between 699 and 700 and given a timeline.

I don't think the novels were ever stated to be canon, and Kishimoto actually supervised the Last.

These novels were just written with his permission. Even the Boruto Novel is not canon compared to the real movie, and the person who wrote it actually helped Kishimoto with the script, funny enough.

It seems like some of the spoilers on the OP are completely fake, some are real and others are just mistranslated/misunderstood.

This one is 100% real, though:

I'll update the OP.

Here is a common misconception.

'canon' is a term used by fans. Kishimoto doesn't say "this is canon while this is not", he says "this is 699.5, and I asked for rewrites till I was satisfied" and draws character sketches for one, while drawing covers and illustrations for the other and providing timelines fitting them in relation to 699, The Last, and 700.

It is up to us to determine how relevant these are to the story line, the criteria is usually the involvement of the mangaka. Unlike anime fillers which are straight up SP junk Kishi probably never watches, both the movie and the novels had some sort of contribution and approval from Kishi, as extra content to fill the gap between 699 and 700.

Yea I knew it, a member clarified this earlier.

Lol, the second paragraph is the spoiler, the first is just the person's opinion. Just another guy trying to push a brotherly relationship as gaymance. -.-

Though I can't take that into consideration, but I understand what you are saying. The problem here is that Kishimoto has had his hands on other projects outside of novels, and movies. He has helped in video games, to where he stated in an interview this year that for Storm 4, he was helping out only with character designs (For PS Itachi, and Shisui), and he has worked on Mecha Naruto and Lars Alexanderson as well. I don't view any of these as canon, not even in the slightest.

For the Novels, he's the one who was asked to draw the covers, and illustrations. But comparing it the video games, he didn't really do much but offer his artistic work as the author. When it comes to the actual story line, I can't personally fill in the blanks because Kishimoto's opinion differs from the authors of the novel, by much. Take a look at the Boruto Novel; More BoruSara, more pairing moments, Boruto actually didn't cheat throughout every battle, and some of the other fights were different (just to list a few).

I only accept the Last as canon because Kishimoto wants us to, I'd do the same for the novels despite my feelings for it (like my feelings for the Last), if he outright said that they are.

Yea, it's all opinionated, although I don't understand your last statement, canon is a fan made term, Kishimoto can't say 'I want you to consider this canon'. lol
