Ok, so we know that hashi was the wood release user. It was his kekkei gekkai.Yamato could do it but albeit on a weaker scale. My theory is that nothing copied is as strong as the orignal Few examples(Minato and Naruto Rasengan). Madara(founder of sharingan) and sasukes. They just arent that strong.

So, if the mangekyou sharingan can use all tose abilities, then so could rinnengan. Since sharingan is derived from the uchia clan ancestor eyes( A son who gained half the power of RIKOUDO SENNIN) the rinnengan could also do it, albeit on a much powerful scale, as proven here

It is my theory that Madara ultimate susanoo was actually caused by rinnengan. Thus the rinnengan shown.

So, he wouldnt have been able to use it against hashi because he didnt have it, so he lost.

Of course Nagato had none of these abillities associated with the mongekyo sharingan, even with the rinnegan.

lets take the rinnengan to be the ultimate dojutsu i.e 100%

Rikudo Sennin had this dojutsu and he had 2 sons

Uchia clan anscestor(50% power) His brother(50% power)

Lets assume the uchia clan ancestor has the eternal mangekyou since madara didnt aquire his eyes after e.mangekyou and went straight for rinnengan

Now, we know that the eter. mangek is 50% of rinnengan.

NOw, we know that the sharingan and byaugan are descended of it . so we put sharingan as 12.5% and mangekyou as 25%
So, technically a byakugan is 25% of eternal mangekyou.

So compared to rinnengan, the sharingan is 6.25%

The rinnengan also shows some of byakugan and rinnengan power(The sharingan can predict movement and thus "see" the future.

Rikudou Sennin foresaw Naruto and when all the beast will be one

The ability of byakugan which can see everything is also reinforced in pain paths of pain(they could see each others weak spot{back})

Rinnengan could also control tailed beast(like the sharingan or mangekyou sharingan) and see chakra. It coul also "bring forth ninjutsu". very much like sharingan copy technique

The byakugan does not share the no of abilties that the sharingan and rinnengan does and so far have not shown the abitliy to evolve into rinnengan.
