Some day.. Oh some day..
We're all dreaming of a movie-script ending
Some day.. Oh some way
All the while it's the devil we're befriending
We all want a lot in life.. and in death
We want happiness, wealth, friendship, & romance
But it's usually lovers & friends laughing at our last breath
It seems life isn't a chic-flic or a bromance
So very few of us enjoy the little things
We want to live while we look for the best ending
Never learning from lost friendships and failed flings
The result can sometimes be mind-bending
Some day... always looking forward to someday
While never seeing what's already there
Some day... always looking for some way
To hasten the next failing romantic pair
Maybe it's in our blood & genetics
Or maybe we're just lost without a clue
My opinion without getting into gruesome specifics..
It's a long time since anyone truly thought anything through
At the end of the day the truth is cold and this
We want far more then we need or deserve
We're so hell bent on having it all, we miss true love's kiss
This ain't about right or wrong, but rather starting a learning curve

Greed for power, money, and the perfect ending will fade away
