I find them bad even if they are your first try. All you did was get a render and placed it and put a random background, why no borders? :|

I did add gradient and stuff into it. It just didn't turn out well.

Not everything needs a border to look nice, he did add scan lines and adjusted the gradients so it wasn't bad at all.

Scanlines are pretty advanced stuff for a beginner so good job using 'em. Lol whats with the sudden boom in p4 fans?
