I was wondering, for the people that believe or disbelieve the flat earth conspiracy. Why not mount a go pro to a special baloon and let it fly of to space or at the edge of it all until you pop it through a signal and it drops at a location, which will be tracked with gps.

Whats the problem?

Yeah, it amazes me that people who believe it waste so much time trying to argue about it online, when they can just make an experiment and see for themselves.

Lol I see I'm not the only one who's noticed the large flat earth trend going around.

You could always prove how the Earth is round by doing it the way the Greeks did. Sundials.

That's new. Who is saying that? We have proof via satellite that the earth is round. I'm guessing they're trying to disprove it because of the atmosphere could be the reason we are perceiving the earth as round and not flat.

1. The flat earthers don't believe in GPS.

2. The balloon could never go high enough to show the spherical shape of the earth, and even if it did, flat-earthers would say that is the shape of the camera lens and dismiss it.

I've found that the only way to show people that the earth is round is by taking them up into the edge of the atmosphere to see for themselves. However, I expect they'd argue there were no windows and that is was just a TV screen.

Nah, Nasa has been spending billions of taxpayer money to prove the earth is round through photo shopping images lmao.
Even though the earth has been proven round before NASA came to be XD

It's already been done just go on youtube.

Those who believe in the flat earth theory say that going round the earth doens't disprove their view due to how their map is designed

You must be registered for see images

One could go round the earth by going round the circumference of the equatorial region this is their belief.

It should be easy to prove the flat earth. Just go up, and take a photo of all the countries at once. Or dig strait down untill you reach the bottom. Or go to the edge of the earth. Funnily enough, no one has ever managed it yet. For some reason, that's never been done. It's almost as if the earth isn't flat.

So it's just something flat in space? Or it's just that there's nothing under and the universe is above?

Two Canadian students used a weather balloon to do it (2 years ago?).

EDIT: Found a vid. The Earth seems round to me. People will probably argue that they were in on the conspiracy with NASA.

They believe it is a huge conspiracy. The reason no one has dug to the bottom of the 'platform' is because the designers have placed molten lava there so we can't see the bottom. They also believe there is a dome above the Earth that shows everything.
