Naruto only soloed kiba thats it kind of difappointing for the star of the manga.

Sasuke has soloed some random fodder,deidara with oros power,fodder cloud ninja not to impressive.

Kakashi has soloed zabuza,thats all i can think of for him not too impressive for a main charater.

The point im trying to make is the main charaters never soloed anyone thats realy strong like nagato or itachi

Meh doesn't matter much to me honestly. I mean Naruto's efforts against both Kakuzu and Pain were obviously above the norm despite it not being a true 1vs1 match the entire way. I'd consider Naruto vs. Pain to be pretty close to a 1vs1. Using his latest Sage training to fight off Pain with his toads but only to succumb to the last and most powerful path. Hinata steps in by gets severely injured (thought to be dead), leaving Naruto to tap into his double-edged sword. Don't be too picky about it and it won't feel tedious.
