Doesn't have to affect us for the base to question these things. I genuinely feel like Naruto grew out of it's audience with a few late-game Shippuden concepts or got matched with the wrong one. When the villain-generating clan are all people talk about or the most recurring fan-fav term on this site is the opposite of the entire point of the series, somethings happened there. Let's discuss that.

I'd love to see the biggest naruto and sasuke wankers get into a shounen like hunter x hunter...a series in which you actually have to out-think your opponents rather than overpower them:
Unsurprisingly, the best fights in Naruto are the tactical battles. Kakashi, Guy, Naruto & Bee fighting Tobi's Kamui, Animal Path VS Jiraiya, even Lee working around Gaara was somewhat strategic. Susanoos and chakra avatars ruined this series' action. I miss Sasuke's wire.
it didn't ruin the series action...in fact the concept of chakra modes was actually quite interesting...the thing is it got spammed to holy hell which is what turned people off...when naruto as a series reached planetary level there was still strategy (see team 7 vs kaguya) it's just that certain jutsu (like tailed beast mode and perfect susanoo) were spammed to people's dislike...but in terms of strategy my favorite fight in the series has to be neji vs kidomaru...that was just the perfect chess match between opposing styles and I was highly entertained...same with sasuke vs deidara
that's funny...I'm actually re-watching yu yu hakusho right now!!!...but it isn't really as much of a technical battle shounen as yoshihiro togashi's other work hunter x hunter (the link I just showed you earlier) but it does do tournament arcs the best...in fact yu yu hakusho's dark tournament is considered by many the best tournament arc in manga/anime history
