Appearance
Solas is a fairly tall, light-skinned elf. While he appears to be like all elves, he is one of the few who is bald. He wears mostly cloaks and light armor to fascilitate his movement in combat, as he feels that excessive use of physical armaments hampers his ability to commune with the spirits.
Personality
Unlike most elves who are either slaves to humans, wild hunters, or living in seclusion with others of his own kind, Solas marches to the beat of a different drummer. Like all shinobi of his family, Solas was let go by his family to live on his own. The Daelish allowed only a select number of to be born into the group and because of their strong ties with nature, they preferred to send the rest on their own as a way of balancing the world. While not bothered to have been let go as a child, he eventually came to dislike his own people based on interactions with them later on as they now appeared narrow-minded to Solas. Whilst growing up on his own, he came to have a unquenchable thirst for knowledge and the occult. While not a practitioner himself, he was more interested in answering the questions to people's fears especially those concerning death and the afterlife. Being more observant and knowledgeable about spirits (as would anyone who researches), Solas came to appreciate his life more and how it affected those around him. This sense of wonder and detachment make Solas appear quite senile at times but wise beyond his years. As a Dealish, he regards the world inhabited by spirits (proof comes from the Katsuryoku clan's ability to conjure spirits) as "The Fade". When not consumed with his thirst for knowledge, Solas is a very down-to-earth person who desires nothing more than taking life as it comes rather than fret about the future. While seemingly weird, Solas is very intelligent and is able to pick up on the behaviors of others, acting in accordance with what he thinks will solve the situation. His time traveling has earned him a keen eye in observing his surroundings and using them to his advantage. Solas is more or less considered a free spirit as he is not bound, within his opinion, to any group nor ideals. He merely follows what he believes is the right thing oftentimes setting his own needs aside. This usually lands him in tough situations but nothing he isn't trained to get out of. Despite his freespirit, Solas follows only the lead of his teacher, Pervy Sage, whom he respects greatly as both a leader and a friend. As such, he is willing to lay his life down to solve the problems of his sensei even if he doesn't ask for it.

Background Information
History: After exiled from his family, Solas departed Gondolin and traveled the world despite being a child. Mostly self-taught, Solas understood the presence of ninjutsu and how to channel it. As he traveled, he was fortunate to be shown how to improve his skills and become a better combatant. While not fully trained, Solas continued his journey to a new home, avoiding many dangers through his wit and perceptive abilities. However it wasn't until he came across one of his own, though not Daelish, that he began to appreciate his roots. His meeting with this elf, Ilúvatar, was something Solas remembers accurately. While traveling, the two met and engaged in battle to which Solas obviously lost to. Having compassion for the elf, Ilúvatar offered to strengthen him. Not reluctant to increase his knowledge, Solas accepted. During a training session, Ilúvatar used a fire technique that lightly burned off Solas' shirt which revealed the Silmarilis. Ilúvatar was surprised to see one of his own and sat down with the young elf. The two talked until the next days wake to which eventually Ilúvatar offered to teach him the ways of his clan, the Ñoldor. Solas accepted his offer as well as offering his friendship and loyalty.
