What do you think society is like today?

I think society is corrupt. People are only out for what others can do for them. No one helps others anymore. People are lazy, foul mouthed, and have no respect for elders or those in authority. We live in a generally godless society and people lack morals these days. To be honest, I absolutely hate modern day society.

Kids these days have *** and get pregnant at fourteen or even earlier. In my parent's day that was like being a leper. no one wanted to be around those kinds of people. There is no reverence for God or keeping ones self pure until marriage. Also these days there are no heroes. Little boys are no longer allowed to be, well, boys. What ever happened to the days of kids owning bb guns or playing cops and robbers and not having to worry about being punished? we are going a long ways in the WRONG direction.

Society is falling into decadence by each passing day.

Society gets more corrupt every generation. People have abandoned honor and self-respect for making fools out of themselves and becoming narcissistic. Morals are left behind while backbiting and trash talking to boost their self esteem is picked up. People's actions can't even be explained anymore, as if we're becoming like animals. Its sad, and yet this is what we are surrounded by everyday.

I somtimes get depressed over being born in '97

i wanted to be born in 65, play outside, get a radio, buy my first guitar through hard work, learn piano from a good teacher, enjoy school because im learning, have a gang of friends that communicate outside of xbox live, actually have ambitions instead of making money.

sigh...now im depressed again

I wish i were born in the 20's and fought in WW2..because that was Americas greatest generation. Except the late 1700's early 1800's.

Agreed that today a majority of people are ignorant and rather saddening to think a 1st world country could devolve to this, its a lack of education and good parents. Regardless of religion its just proper respect for humans and decent. dealings wig each other. Too many people try to screw everyone and get as much money as they can. Money isn't everything, I'd rather be happy then rich but sadly so many think they are one and the same.

Can you remind me of an era during which society wasn't corrupt or full of perverts? I doubt it.

It's not getting worse. It's simply the numbers (population) that changed that make it seem like that. Sadly the human race managed to evolve only technologically, not morally.

It's population and Capitalism that has ruined the world. Media has contributed to it fairly well. Now people are getting conditioned from a young age to behave in a certain manner thanks to that. Olden times lacked these notions. Just my thoughts.

Only possible in a wise free society where people truly care for each other and ready to sacrifice for the common good . . . . Thus impossible unless we lose every form of modern technological advancement,thus reducing demand for resources which in turn may make sure that every one has plenty of what they need.......
