Social Work Masters vs Psychology Masters

I know the Psychology path has more career options, but what's the biggest difference between that and social Work? I need good pay, being able to change people, and low stress

I suppose it is. But it is also far more versatile. Psychological knowledge can be used in many various situations in life.

I assume psych might have a lot more research, data collection and things like that whereas masters level social work probably is a lot more hands-on. I highly doubt you will have low stress with social work. Even if it gives you incredible joy to truly help people, you will deal with too much of the bad in people. Psych is probably a lot more open in that regard because it's such a wide career path

Psychology is evaluation, while Social Work is physically helping integrate another person. Psychology can lead to research positions and, depending on your focus and level of degree, can prescribe medication.

Those dudes in the labs who conduct sleep studies because your dad was snoring too loud and everybody including your dog wants him to stop? They have psychology and/or biology degrees. The dude you go to because you need to talk about your crippling depression? Psychology degree.

What exactly can you get with a psychology degree? I heard you needed a masters or more to get a nice career. Personally I'm a fan of psychology but I assumed there was few careers centered around a degree in it.

I suppose it is. But it is also far more versatile. Psychological knowledge can be used in many various situations in life.

^This working towards my Masters in Psychology. But yeah its more versatile can use psychology with damn near anything.
