[Question] Social Groups

So, as most people may be aware of, the Social Groups used to be like normal threads. But then it was changed. So I have a question/suggestion.

Why was it changed and can it be changed back to how it was with threads?

I think it was taking too much space on NB. That... or they weren't used as much back then so they got rid of the extra sub-forums...
