Before tobi killed konan he said after madara got hashiramas DNA that two paths are one. This is my theory on those 6 paths.

First path: Hyuuga

Second path: Uzumaki

Third path: Uchiha

Fourth path: Senju

Fifth path: Juugo's clan

Sixth path: Kimmimaro's clan

They were all important and strong clans And they all connect to abilities the sage probably had. Strong eyes, strong body, and chakra sensing. I dont know how they all came about but I do believe they are the six clans/paths of the Sage.

The Uchiha clan descended from the elder of the two sons of the Sage of the Six Paths, the Senju clan from the youngest. The elder brother inherited the Sage's "eyes", powerful chakra and spiritual energies. When it came time for the Sage to choose a successor, he questioned the two on what course of action they would follow to bring order to the world. The elder believed that power was the way to bring peace, while the younger believed love was the way. The Senju clan and Uchiha clan are decended from SO6P. I don't really understand how Juugo and Kimmimaro have anything to do with it???? If you have evidence to suggest that, then feel free to elaborate, otherwise it's not really a theory.

I thought juugo's clan because they had the ability to senseand absorb natural energy. They are all essentially sages which ccoincides with the sage mode of the 3 famous summons, whom I believe are the s06p's summons.

For kimmimaros clan the kekkei genkkai for the bone jutsu gave him an indestructible body and since the sage had the strongest body and eyes I assumed the guy with the strongest body/bone structure had to be at least descended from him. Plus there's the juugo and kimmimaro friendship. Just a guess on the sage's descendants other than the obvious.
