[Theory] 'SO6P' is simply a power level, and not a person

Obito has evolved those characteristic "horns" when he got full control over the juubi, which reminds us of SO6P

And, when the juubi saw traces of the 10 beasts inside Naruto, it recalled the SO6P

However, when we got a glimpse of SO6P himself back in ch 572, he still had horns though the juubi was extracted from him and he created the nine tailed beasts

If we say that the horns are a feature of a Juubi's jinchuriki, then it makes no sense that SO6P should have them after the juubi is extracted from him..

Because we are strongly hinted that the "horns" symbolize controlling heavy power bijuus, I think the episode in ch 572 happened in Rikudo's consciousness.
I also think "SO6P" is something of a power level, and not a person. If that's the case, then Rikudo is simply a super-strong shinobi who attained this power level after he became the juubi's host. And any info on his clan is of no significance, whether he is an Uzumaki or Senju or Hyuuga..
Anyone can become a SO6P if he/she manages to host and control the juubi..

So, Naruto is not any predestined reincarnation of Rikudo, and the bijuus started to see SO6P in him because if his attitude, sensitivity towards the tailed beasts.. The juubi saw Rikudo in him because of the power given to him by the other bijuus

I don't think "Sage" in narutoverse means an Old wise man.. because we have sage modes and young people can also become sages like Naruto and Kabuto did..

Also, if you notice, Obito has talked as if SO6P is a level of power to achieve, and not as some historical figure..
He talks about Uchiha and Senju powers as 2 of the 6 paths

SO6P was an Uzumaki Monk who was the greatest and most powerful warrior known to NV. He was a great and powerful warrior prior to sealing the Juubi and even to todays standards would have been more or less unbeatable.

It was after single handedly defeating and sealing the perfect Juubi that the familiar characteristics of te SO6P came into effect; including the nine tomoes on his back (a physical representation of the Nine Tomoes of the Juubis Eye), as well as the power of his Rinnegan which to this day has been unequalled.

The characteristics of being Juubi Junchuriki would predominantly come from the power if the Ten Tails, however there was only one Rikudo Sennin. Its possible the Unique combination of his own DNA/Chakra as well as that of the Ten Tails is what set him apart from all others.

Edit: However, i like the way you have challenged what others think with logical points. Good thread and plus rep for you also. SO6P was a person, however the power of SO6P (or at least parts of it) can be somewhat emulated it seems.

Actually, Rikudou Sennin is different from Juubito. Obito isn't Rikudou Sennin, even if he's the Juubi Jinchuuriki. There only one and will be only one Rikudou Sennin. Being a "God" in Narutoverse means more than having massive powers, but also a good will. Obito is the villan still, remember it. Obito lacks so many other things in comparison to the real Rikudou Sennin.

That guy was a monk, a priest. He knew how to use all those powers for peace, not a crappy illusion.

Sage of the six paths is a title and a power level that a person can obtain if that person is strong (not only physically) enough. So it is all 3 (title, powerlevel and person).The name of the first sage of the six paths, that we know from this manga, might as well have been Bob. Sage of the six paths has never been its birth name.

You can probably keep Bijou characteristics if you lose your bijou.
Gaara kept his sand. If Naruto would lose Kurama, he would probably keep his whiskers. Bee would keep his ink. Roshi his lava release etc. Maybe the horns are similar to Naruto having whiskers.

Naruto indeed doesnt have to be some predestined Rikudo.
