Sadly for some characters (like Hinata) the fillets do not appear. They are fillets because they allow the manga to advance far enough to allow the anime to continue back on the main story without catching up to the manga!

every time i post something, someone replies with /thread. sorry i didn't know they were called "canon." Like I said, I just started reading manga a couple months ago and I'm not familiar with these internet manga terms like canon.

Filler means they fill up the parts of the Anime that's not based on the manga, but rather used to make sure the anime doesn't catch up to the manga.

Honestly some side stories drag on so long they might as well be filler (Im not question their importance) like this obito flashback could have been done a lot quicker if you ask me, and now its been a month and a half since the story made any actual progress. Might as well be filler
