OK, look, does it matter really? She needed to pay bills, that's a priority. If she had to pawn the ring, then that's what she had to do. Sacrifices have to made sometimes. Now, she doesn't have a ring. Does that mean your love went down? Is she a different person than when you gave her the ring? It's just a ring. As long as you're together and care about each other, does it truly, really matter if she has the ring? Is an object more important than being with her? Don't be superficial about this.
