It's not assumption, Kishi has repeatedly said Yin = Yang, Hamura was Hagoromo's equal like Indra being Ashura's. He didn't need a Rinnegan because the Byakugan grants extremely powerful abilities.

It has the power to destroy chakra, seal chakra, has better insight than Sharingan meaning it can see through genjutsu better, can read movement just as good, and can prevent the user from getting stabbed in the back. Also, did you ignore the part Kaguya repeatedly negged Sasuke with Byakugan feats ?

Kishi nerfed the Hyug and refused to develop Neji and Hinata because his focus was on Uchiha. If they actually demonstrated the feats manga has stated the Byakugan grants they would essily be on par with MS users. There's a reason Konoha considered them the strongest clan.

I don't think paralyzing Sasuke's hawk can be considered too impressive. As for dodging Susano'o, there's nothing denoting that to be credited to the Byakugan as the attack was directly in front of her and the fact that no other Byakugan user could have dodged such a strike. I'm also quite sure that it offers no precognition abilities. Kaguya's comes from the Six Paths Sage Mode and possibly her RinneSharingan.

Actually that conflict was going on long before Neji was born. Neji started despising the main branch when he received his curse mark and after he supposedly thought they killed off his father to protect Hiashi.

You forget that fact that one has to have the body to maintain gates. Rock Lee and Gai did 1000s upon 1000s of handstands push-ups laps on one finger around the villag, etc. Sure Hashi and Madz could theorytically open gates but their bodies wouldn't be able to handle the strain.

Lmfao that's a load of bullshit. Rock Lee at the age of 12 (IIRC) could use gates, Kakashi could even use 1 gate, Hashirama and Madara are much better off than both of them, heck even Gai's fodder dad could use up to 8 Gates.

Madara and Hashirama could likely handle the 8 Gates, but this is a power that is above the Gokage and Madara and Hashirama were both above all 5 Kage regardless, so there likely wasn't a need for it in their mind.

Talking about them not showing any use of it at all, even when fighting each other. Makes no sense. Kishi just wanted Gai to be unique but the concept was a failure because he made it accessible to anyone and yet stronger more capable fighters couldn't even show 1 gate.
