Having Orochimaru outdo Obito and Madara after they've organized the Akatsuki, captured 7/9 tailed beasts, and summon the Juubi wouldn't make any sense.

well it`s true that it is hard to go beyond all that because it`s all OP but kishi may yet surprise us with some awesome orochimaru powerup....i mean orochimaru just keeps pulling jutsus and knowledge about everything out of his sleeve

If Orochimaru had some sort of secret jutsu then he should have used it in the beginning of the manga. Kishi would only make himself look bad if he made Orochimaru the sole final villain.

hmmm....what other reason to revive him...i hate to think that orochimaru was revived just to help sasuke and die again....now that would make kishi look bad....what i am trying to say is that orochimaru has a great potential which he wanted to reach from the very beginning of the series and now he`s back....we never really got to see his full power....he was just toying with hiruzen,fought with 4-tailed naruto without hands....i have a feeling he might get what he wanted all along in the end.

if you think about it...kabuto said that he and orochimaru were studying the uchiha tablet,made a proper hypothesis about it...which means orochimaru may just know all about the requirements of the rinnegan and everything about the sage....he definitely has a bigger role seeing as how he was revived and isnt even interested in this war.my bet is that the war will end and then orochimaru`s time will come.but that`s just my opinion

he used the 1st and the 2nd against Hiruzen and in the end of the fight he was crippled so he never had a chance to show his true power

he never tried to KILL itachi he needed the body alive

I believe Orochimaru. I don't Naruto and Sasuke are like Hashi and Madara, or the SO6P's sons. I think they'll join together against the Juubi.
