according to flashback naruto thinks iruka is his father...but he also called minata as father when they met

so who is more father to naruto?

Minato died saving Naruto and the village while leaving a power in his son that he knew would be needed in the future. He sealed the last of his and Kushina's chakra into Naruto so he could meet them both and so they could help him when he needed help with Kurama. Edo Minato tried to do what he could to get to know his son with the time he had and fought together with him.

Iruka was there for Naruto in his childhood, this is true but it should also be noted that Iruka hated Naruto from the get go. He blamed Naruto for the death of his parents and it was Hiruzen who made Iruka see Naruto as more than a monster. Saying that, Iruka was the first bond Naruto made which means a great deal to him.

I do think Naruto sees Minato as his father more than Iruka, it's just that Iruka was there for him when no one else was so I go with Iruka. Also I really dislike that plot hole of Kishi making Minato die when he didn't need to.

coming from a broken and dysfunctional family, this is spot on. Iruka was around his whole life. he was his inspiration and father figure, until Kakashi came around. even then, he had his hand in naruto's life a little... Iruka-sensei was his father, Kakashi is/was his teacher, and Jiraiya was his master... However, Minato was his biological father. the only reason they got to meet was because of Kushina's help/chakra , and because of Orochimaru's knowledge of the Uzumaki shrine
